This is a perfect zoo for little people. Having been there numerous times with my grands, it never gets old for any of us. The penguin show is a must do, the wandering peacocks are always a delight, the various animals easily accessible and the fascinating climbing spots are an interesting diversion. To finish off with a train ride all... More

Interactive stages in the tour that lets kids meet some of the animals. Has a train that takes you on a ride on the boundaries of the zoo.

Great size for toddlers, can cover the whole zoo in one day. Great variety of animals and activities for those attending. The train is a good culmination to the tour of the zoo.

We took two of our grandkids ages 9 and 4 to the zoo. GREAT experience. This is smaller than the Omaha zoo, but not near as crowded and you get a more up close and personal experience with the animals. The butterfly house was way cool. The train rides around the zoon was short but neat to do with the... More

A must stop in Lincoln if you have small children. Very interactive exhibits. Not so big that it takes all day to see everything. Great for a 1-2 hour stop. Lots of shade!!! Has a train that goes around the perimeter of the zoo, not overly exciting for adults but kids will enjoy.

This zoo definitely is tailored for children, but it's enjoyable for adults as well. I particularly like their new beehive building where you can hopefully learn about the animals from someone who works there. When I went there, we were allowed to have a sugar glider jump off of our arms.

Kids love this place. We take the grandkiddo's everytime they are in town and they just go bonkers at all the things to do and getting to touch the animals and see them up close. Take the train ride, feed the billy goats, ride the horses, pet the camels. All in a great day of fun and education.
