An hour

I enjoyed this visit. Lots of eclectic artist and exhibits and as this was my second visit (about 1 year) there were new things to see.

The artists works displayed here are either born in Nebraska, lived in Nebraska, studied in Nebraska, or their art is about Nebraska. I actually work here and enjoy the displays. There is a nice Gift Shop that is run by volunteers. The items in there are mostly from local artists.

This was a great place to kill some time while we were in Kearney. My son and I stopped here and enjoyed the Nebraska art and sculptures. It is free of charge and is a hidden treasure in the downtown area. I really loved the art with the pictures of women from the 1800s. I do not know much about... More

Excellent museum of Nebraska art. Artists have Nebraska ties, either travelling through, residence, or birth. Various galleries, changing exhibits. I stop by every few months to view "what's new!" Never disappointed.

There was a quilt exhibit going on while we were there and it was excellent. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Highly recommend!

Loved the architecture of the the museum. It is worth the stop alone. Some really nice Nebraska art. Of course the main display changes from time to time. Would stop again. Beats classic cars and the ARCH.

The exhibit "Deeply Rooted" is a really amazing display of quilts. I also enjoyed the American Art on display as well as the featured art of talented Nebraskan artist Alicia Cleaver. The museum is free and worth a visit for all ages.

Saw a sign for this museum on interstate 80 just before Kearney while doing a long cross country drive and decided to follow my muse. It turned out to be a wonderful surprise and a great way to spend two hours. The museum is housed in a beautifully restored post office building of the grand old type. The art is... More

This museum is free of charge. They had several room-size exhibits that were strong, especially the Sandhills Crane area and the western/Nebraska art area. The building itself is a renovated post office and is quite beautiful inside and out. It is not large and doesn't take long, but I enjoyed every moment of my visit.

Great displays of local Nebraska artist from past and present. History in art form. Nice gift shop and plenty of parking.
