Unusual location for a lighthouse, not much else to see
Apr 2017 • Solo
I was traveling through the area and had to check out a lighthouse landlocked in the middle of the mid-west. Yep, they have a lighthouse, but it's not really very artistic and the rest of the area is a bit depressing. I'm glad I went but it is only worth a few minutes visit.

Lighthouse landmark
Jul 2017 • Couples
This place has changed a lot over the years. It was a busy swimming spot with a big slide in the summer. It had a nice restaurant for a few years too. All these things are gone. But when I see the lighthouse it brings back those memories.

No longer open to the general public
Aug 2017 • Couples
This place has not been open to the general public for a few years now. Can drive by the lighthouse which has been restored on the outside. Really nothing to do there unless you already have a camper space rented.

Junky, expensive dive
Food is expensive for a crummy salad bar. The giant lobster carries a giant price. Crowded, noisy.

Kids enjoyed the water toys
It was nice for the kids. There are fun blow up water beach toys for everyone to try. I would probably go back.

Historic site with planned restoretion
1920's- 30's beach between Lincoln and Omaha, which explains the name, Linoma. There is a landmark historic lighthouse that is the feature attraction, along with the beach. Has recently been sold to new owners who plan extensive restoration. With a sensitive restoration, could be rated excellent.
