Amazing Dog Park

What an amazing find!! Beautiful park with lake access, perfect for the dogs to run,swim and play! Even has an area to rinse your dog before leaving. Only thing I’d recommend is a few more areas of shade on the beach. But we and our dogs had a blast! Budweiser, Latke and Clover all say thank you for having us!

Great new Bark Park

When I visited Grand Island 3 years ago, there was no dog park. I had to take my 2 girls 45 miles to Kearny.
This park opened about a year ago. The"big dog" area borders a river with a sand beach. My girls had a ball in the water Along with chasing other dogs.
As a full time traveler, living in a motor home, it's always a challenge to find an off-leash park. This is an excellent park!

Great place to take your dog!

Our dog loves this dog park, so do we! It has a small fenced in area for small dogs with a little obstacle type course. It has a huge area with access to water for large or small dogs. The area is well kept with nice beaches. It would be nice to have more trash cans however.

Dog park/sand pit

Disappointed that this is the best that Grand Island could do for a dog park. Weeds are high so the ticks are plentiful. Not impressed but I know a lot of people that use this since it is the only dog park in town. I will not take my dogs back there

Terrific Spot for Spot

Terrific spot to take Spot. Fully fenced and populated with cooperative pooches and their owners.
A caveat: the trail is bordered with numerous poison ivy plants. Even if you avoid them, your dog may pick up some of the oil on its fur and transfer it to you or others.

The small dog park is covered with sticker weeds. My dog was miserable. There was do waste as well.

We decided to give this park a try for a leisure walk. The trail is not fancy and there are no markings or a fancy paved trail around the lake. You just walk and make your way around. This is an easy 1.2 mile walk.

Great place. Water for dogs and fishing.

We were visiting family in Grand Island. They have an Old English Sheepdog. In an attempt to sell their home, an open house was scheduled. Not good to have people or a large dog around during the showing. My son-in-law and grandson took the dog to this park. There is an area for small dogs and also for large dogs. Lots of sand if you want to kick your shoes off and it appeared to me that everyone picks up after their dogs so you are not stepping into anything other than the sand. There was a fisherman there who allowed the 6 year old grandson to try his hand at fishing. Benches available if you need to take a rest. Sun, sand, some shade and the water made this a pleasant outing.

This is a gorgeous park. We love to fish here. Very relaxing and peaceful retreat in the middle of town. Very clean and safe.

Awesome Place to take your dog

We take our lab here about once a week. He can run around and play on land or water and we can either walk around with him or sit on a bench and read a book. Highly recommend for any dog owner.
