If you want to take a break from visiting Yellowstone I would highly recommend enjoying a trail ride at Parade Rest. I happened to stay at the Parade Rest Ranch but their trail rides are available to the public. They have a very broad selection of rides available every day - from several one hour rides throughout the day to... More

Took the family horse back riding a couple of times, they loved getting into the back country and seeing all the wildlife. Remembered when I stayed there and was great to share those memories with the kids. Marge is always a delight to visit with the food was good and the place is still beautiful.

We stayed at the Parade Rest Ranch during our stay to Yellowstone. The cabins are extremely cozy and the whole place is surrounded by nature. The breakfast and service are great too. There are free bikes are can ride around and some swings. You can take many great pictures there too. Just be sure to bring some bug spray because... More

What a beautiful location and the staff were warm and friendly. We had a wonderful meal (missed the day of the chuck wagon) in a restaurant that made you feel like you were at home. Good food and nice serve. We were so lucky as we signed up for the sunset ride and it was a warm and wonderful night... More

We were excited to go on a western cookout in Yellowstone but got caught up in the park and did not make it to the cookout in time. The company could not have been nicer. Did not charge us and told us to come back next time. We will! Thank you!

For $60 for adults, it is best to go for the adventure and not necessarily for the food. Parade Rest has a beautiful setting near a lake for their Western Cookout. They provide a singer with a guitar who does a nice job with country and western songs and chatter with the group. The food was less impressive. You cannot... More

Trail riding with my grand daughter was a great experience. The staff was very helpful and encouraging even to those of us who are not riders.

A group of 9 friends enjoyed a one hour horseback trail ride which ended with a cowboy cookout. Everyone enjoyed the experience with the steak meal being exceptionally well done and plentiful. The price was reasonable, about $75 per person.

I found this place after I had paid for lodging elsewhere. My kids really wanted to go so we went out for the day. We ate breakfast, rode horses, and did the cookout. It was a real Montana experience for my family. Don't miss it! They allow public to eat there also and the food is really good!
