We had a great morning at the Rendezvous Ski Trails for our cross country, classic, ski lessons. Kelly was great and very patient with our family (2 adults, 1 child 10 yrs old). She taught us the basic skills to feel confident on the ski trails. We rented very nice equipment from the shop. In addition to rentals, they have really nice merchandise.

Rented shoe shoes for the day to hike the Riverview Trail. They were very nice, fitted the equipment perfectly, gave us a trail map and we were on our way. We took the upper loop and it was rugged enough for an adventure but fine for beginners. No charge to enter the park. The store also has a coffee bar, which was nice. On a side note, wear gaiters to stay warm and dry on your adventure.

Love this place. Great in every way. Always drop in when I'm in the area every other years or so. Hooked us up with snowshoes one year and helped direct us to a very nice trail into the park for a great hike. Thumbs up !!!!!

We stopped in here mid morning to check out their ski clothing and accessories. We were in town for the week to cross country ski and snowshoe. We browsed the store for twenty minutes and were never greeted by any store employees. They were talking with some people up front and never asked if we needed any help. I remember going here years ago for hot drinks and they were friendly then, I’m not sure what has changed, They do have a fairly large selection but items are pretty pricey. A basic knit hat was $70.

My husband and I rented skis and an instructor to learn to cross country ski. Everything went smoothly and the sales person was very helpful.

Freeheel and wheel was so good and flexible for us. They rent bikes to ride into Yellowstone In The winter/spring, which is closed to road traffic.

We called ahead and reserved bikes for the family, because it was the weekend. When we got there , the weather was iffy with some rain/drizzle and only the hearty went out. Freeheel and wheel adjusted our reservations Aldine to just 2 and were so helpful, friendly and accommodating.
We were able to rent by the hour, and were able to bike into Yellowstone for 10 miles and saw a bunch of bison. Very cool and peaceful. Easy ride too. Reasonably flat for a 10 mile ride. Great hands on experience of yellowstone.

Note: while the park is ‘closed’ the road is plowed and it is just closed to car traffic. So the road was clear (except for the occasional/frequent bison dropping) and great for biking.

I would go back in the spring and rent bikes from them again!

Thanks for all your great help, excellent service, and tasty snacks afterward!

Thank you so much for the great review and for being willing to risk the weather and having such a unique experience in Yellowstone! We look forward to seeing you again some time!

Nice stop for coffee and tea before a trip in Yellowstone Park. The owners are involved with the comunity and help with the support for bike events. Good selection of bike wear and clothing.

I rented 3 mountain bikes in late July for me and my two teenage sons to do some trail riding in the West Yellowstone area. Freeheel and Wheel hooked us up with 3 great bikes and perfect directions to some beautiful trails that we rode to from their store. The staff were awesome in terms of being friendly, knowledgable and very helpful. The rental rate for the bikes was very reasonable and the bikes were top notch. Had a great mocha at Freeheel and Wheel later on the same trip. Great experience!!

Stopped in there to purchase a back pack for my son. They let my family of seven sit on the couch and hang out while he shopped. If I had stayed longer would have had coffee too.

I was about to head to the trails for the West Yellowstone Ski Festival when I noticed that the wax I needed for the day was missing from my kit. Luckily I found Freeheel and Wheel, and they had exactly what I needed. I frequented the wonderful shop often the week I was in West, and always received great, friendly service. I also made their wonderful coffee a daily part of my morning routing.
