The Buffalo Bus Day tour of Yellowstone was one of the best things I have ever done in my life. We went during winter on February 2, 2016 and had an outstanding day. Our tour guide Jon was outstanding and very knowledgeable about the area, history, geo-thermal features, and animals. We went on about a 3 hour snow cat bus... More

There are many recent reviews extolling the beauty of the Park in winter, the excellence of the guides and the overall satisfaction of said reviewers. THEY DO NOT LIE! This was an adventure worth taking. We are from the Chicago area, and we both enjoy wintertime, so this was our first choice for the season in which to visit Yellowstone.... More

The Buffalo Bus snow coach tours are a great way to see Yellowstone National Park. We had booked ahead (advisable) and drove down from Big Sky to catch the tour. They tell you to be there at 8:00 am. You could probably get there as late as 8:30 but the reception area gets more busy, and thus crowded, as you... More

A snowcoach trip into Yellowstone is a wonderful way to see what few travelers will ever experience: a winter wonderland of amazing beauty and wildlife. It is a different experience than any other time into the park. The crowds are gone, the scenery is pristine, the wildlife is abundant and the comfort of the snow coach combine to make an... More

Bravo for Graham’s wonderful guidance on the fat tire tour to Old Faithful. His warmth and humor combined with wilderness wisdom, made our day with 12 friends an unforgettable adventure. We actually saw a coyote leap in an arc and dive into the snow for a hiding critter! A bobcat crouched over breakfast, a fox twice, giant bull elk by... More

I have been to Yellowstone National Park several times, but never in the winter. It is truly a different experience being there during winter. Our original plan was to snowmobile to Old Faithful, but then we decided that a snow coach tour to the Canyon area was a better fit. It would allow our group to stay warm and visit... More

Karin was a great guide! Kept us at a good pace so we saw everything. Very knowledgeable and sweet. Good driver on the Big New Tires, really knew what she was doing. Very comfortable coach.

While chatting with other travelers on a shuttle ride from Bozeman Airport to Big Sky for a conference (I took Karst Stage - also excellent), I struck up a conversation with a veteran snowboarder. He told me that Yellowstone National Park was closed for the winter, except for a organized tours that used snowmobiles or snowcoaches to get around. While... More

Our first guide for the Canyon tour was Brian, who was knowledgeable, interesting, fun and expressed a true love of Yellowstone. Any time he saw an animal or bird, he pulled over and allowed ample time for us to take photos and admire the scenery. Our experience at the two waterfalls was enhanced by his description of how the canyon... More

Wowee! I felt sorry for our guide, his day was soooo long. Andy Carl is a champ! He's a park ranger in the mountains somewhere during his summers but during his winters he's teaching folks like myself about the four different thermal features in existence (all of which are in Yellowstone) and why W. Yellowstone is the coldest place in... More
