This cave is so much fun; especially for the kids. There is twisting/turning, ducking and even a little bit of sliding in the cave to make it an awesome adventure for the kids. The campground is quiet, peaceful, and convenient. We will go back some...More

Third trip to the caverns and enjoyed taking our grandchildren in for the first time. The tour guide was pleasant and very versed on the caverns and it's history.

I have not been to the caverns since I was very young, and things are done differently now. The last time I was here, they still shuttled people up to the entrance of the cave with a big cart on wheels, sort of a trolley...More

This is a fun activity for the whole family. They have outdoor kennels in the shade if you are traveling with your dog. Remember to wear good hiking/walking shoes and bring a jacket even if it is scorching hot outside. The cave can get quite...More

Took in the local tour while friends were visiting. Pleasantly surprised at the depth (LOL) and beauty of this place. We were actual a mile above sea level inside the cavern. A great place for camping and exploring.

A real treat on our drive from Bozeman to Butte. Recommended by a hotel front desk person who grew up in the area. Older folks and those not in shape might have a hard time walking up the trail to the cave entrance. During the...More

Just did it today with a 25 lb+ one year old boy on my chest. Very challenging with bigger baby but doable if you are in okay shape. Walk up is most strenuous part, but legs get tired/shaky going down the steps. Tight squeeze and...More

Wild cave tour...a special guided tour that only allows a small number of people (8, I think), to really explore the caverns for about 2.5 hours. It visits the regular route, along with several places not covered by the regular tour...and you only have a...More

Great value, fantastic caverns....Beautiful!. Could do it wearing sandals.....fairly easy for all ages although the hike up is a decent workout. The guide was a little long-winded and the tour moved a little slow and groups were slightly bigger than I'd prefer...but we didn't have...More

Our family has visited several caverns/caves and this ranks as one of our very favorites for several reasons. First, the location is amazing. The drive up to the caves is a bit steep and windy, but the view from the top is spectacular. Admission fees...More

Yes, if they are in good shape they should be fine, the guide gave us plenty of time to take breaks on the way up. I would be more concerned about once inside the caverns, the ground is very uneven and could cause a stumble... More
