The Lost Trail Ski resort is one of the best jewels in Western Montana. It is the historical location of the Lost Trail as depicted in Lewis and Clark's journals. Except for the highways in and out of the area, the wonderful ski lodge and...More

The powder on Lost Trail is awesome! We ski just moment away at the Chief Joseph Cross Country Ski Trails. You can find affordable housing listed on the Lost Trail website. What a great way to spend a weekend on the trails.

Lost Trail is a great little ski area right on the Montana/Idaho boarder. They get great powder dumps of light fluffy snow. Several distinct parts to the mountain connected by surface lifts. Excellent staff of patrol, lift ops and instructors catering to all abilities. Recommended.

Do you love waist deep powder...Lost Trail gets more powder snow than any ski area in Montana. With the latest expansion they now have more runs, more lifts and more vertical than ever before.

This is a great, out of the way, throwback ski area. A surprising amount of area, served by few lifts. No express lifts here, but the lift lines are nonexistent so I got in more runs than my legs could stand. The spacing of the...More

Although snow conditions across the entire West have been lousy this year (winter 2014-2015), LT had great snow coverage. We didn't get to experience the powder this mountain is famous for, but it was still great skiing. There are runs for everyone here and a...More

Overall, this is a fun place to ski. They have long cruiser runs and the snowpack is deeper than other nearby resorts. The downside is that the lifts are separated from each other and a towrope is necessary in 2 locations and all lifts are...More
