This is a good place to bring small children and folks with limited mobility. The trail is wide and hard-surfaced around about half of the lake, and two of the fishing docks are wheelchair-accessible. The lake is constantly stocked with trout, so beginner fishers are sure to get some action! Not a great place to swim.

Lovely place to go for a walk. Beautiful scenery, small lake and our grand kids love to walk around here. Fishing is pretty good too.

The lake isn't exactly visible from the parking lot, but it is only a few steps to the shore. There is a trail all the way around the lake. Lots of trees, two fishing docks and about half of the trail is suitable for a stroller, although you don't need it. The banks are sloping. The picnic tables by the... More

4th of July and leaving the area tomorrow and was looking for something to get out, but not difficult. What we have found out in this area: When you leave with not a cloud in the sky, it's a good bet that showers will be in the mountains. Take a raincoat. Lots of fishing by the locals.

I am somewhat impartial to this little lake. I was involved back in 1999 in building the trail around the lake (Much of it accessible to handicap people). I worked for the Youth Conservation Corp that did much of this work back then. I have seen handicap people out on the ramps enjoying the outdoors and the nice views. I... More

I was in Red Lodge for a wedding but wanted to do some site-seeing as well. In the immediate area I explored Wild Bill Lake and the town. I would highly recommend traveling the Beartooth Pass!

Wild Bill Lake is a small man-made lake in a pretty setting. There were a few families with children that were fishing and they seemed to be having a great time. The walk around the lake was fairly easy.

Wild Bill Lake is a man made lake stocked with whitefish. It is set in beautiful country 5 or so miles outside Red Lodge Montana. You can fish, relax or, as we did, walk round the lake - which takes about 25 minutes. The Wild Bill lake walk is an ideal warm up walk if you are thinking of more... More
