Best time ever. Easy walk took our 8 year old granddaughter had a blast found lots of crystals. Really recommend going here to teach kids about rocks and the fun they can have digging for them. Recommend taking sun screen and bug spray

I believe it is May 15th when the park opens. This time of year there is still snow everywhere.
