What a delightful experience! We went through a couple of bags of dirt looking for sapphires, which were then appraised.....but then Ashley and Holly took the sapphires that we had found at a different location and also appraised them, giving us great advice regarding heat treating, leaving natural, and cutting. They do both the heat treatment and the cutting in the local area rather than sending the stones overseas.....so the process is much faster. We left 101 stones with them for heat treatment, and were so very impressed with their fabulous customer service, interest in our stories, and professionalism. This was a lovely “high class” operation that we will definitely revisit and recommend to others!

We stopped in here to look around and found a treasure trove of fine jewelry and gifts. They offered hand sanitizer upon entry and even had extra masks. To top it off they had tailings you could sort through for sapphires. The cost was $30 a bag but it was worth it. We found 15 carats of gems worth further processing. They offer heat treatment and cutting. The staff were very friendly and helpful.

Having seen commercials, could not wait to explore this amazing town. Sapphire Gallery and the Sweet Shoppe have strongly supported this small community. If you want to see stunning creations of jewelry with sapphires, it is a must see. In fact, so beautiful, I was scared to ask for prices knowing that they would be well beyond my pocket book. They do have mining pails available but I did not take advantage of it while I was there.

We visited the Sapphire Gallery in Sept 2019. The staff was very helpful and polite. We purchased a bag of gravel to sift through and found 18 carrots of sapphires of which we had two stones made into a necklace. It was very fun to do once you get the hang of it. I would recommend this to other travelers in the area.

One of the goals of going to Philipsburg mt was to buy a sapphire pendant. The lady helping us (who also served us supper at the silver mill - she has multiple jobs) was knowledgable and very, very helpful. We were not in town long enough to go to the mines. If our grandsons are with us on our next visit, we will sift through bags of gravel.
