We drive up to Granite every time we visit Phillipsburg. There is so much history to be learned from the area. You can just imagine all the businesses, homes, and churches full of people up there!

Some of the most intact ghost town I've seen! Well worth it. It's rich in history! Pretty well marked..

You need to be in to this type of thing to “ get it”. We loved all the bits and pieces of history all the way up to the top. We stopped all along the way to figure out what we were looking at. Although...More

This is the first ghost town my family and I have ever been to and we were amazed. It’s so cool to see the old buildings. I recommend anyone driving by to take the time to stop and walk around. Don’t forget your camera!!!

Very little left of this once busy and industrious mining town. Be ready to climb up a steep and winding road to the Granite Union Hall. In it's heyday around 1889, the Miners Union Day parade was attended by 100's of miners marching for safer...More

We love exploring Ghost towns and this one did not disappoint. 15 minutes out of town. Very easy to find. A map would have made it easier. We met a couple who said the hike to the mine was for advanced hikers. We almost did...More
