This place is like a first class time machine. The store was very well maintained with many of the old time characteristics. The staff were nice and it was clean.
There was candy as far as the eye could see. From hard candy to chocolate and fudge. There literally is something for everyone! I highly recommend stopping here.

We were visiting Anaconda and made a quick run to Philipsburg. Absolutely loved it and highly recommend. The drive there, the candy shop, and mining experiences were so fun especially for kids of any age. A must!

The Sweet Palace was very nice and has a great selection of candy. Overall we were very disappointed in our trip to Phillipsburg and if the Sweet Palace is your only or main reason for going I would say to skip it. There is just not that much to the town. If you've every been to Silverton or Ouray or some of the other refurbished old money towns they were a much more enjoyable visit. There just isn't that much to see and do in Phillipsburg.

This place is neat but upon further investigation its not that special. At least 70% of the candy you can get anywhere like Brach's, Hershey, etc. In addition it is way over priced and some of its stale. However most importantly they are not very personable or kind. My son is allergic to chocolate (really stinks when your a kid) and some preservatives and sometimes has texture issues. I mentioned this to two attendants and what appeared to be the manager. (He gets migraines). When I asked what was in the fudge because of his issues they looked at me like I was asking for some secret recipe. Its fudge. There helpful solution was to list all the types without chocolate. Then I asked if he could have a sliver of the brown sugar fudge because its made with brown sugar and I was worried about the texture. Mind you I just spent $69.00 on candy but they told me they could give out samples. Thank you so much for being understanding under these special circumstances. Please don't respond by telling everyone that if you did it for us you would have to do it for other customers. There was no one around us and most people would understand that this was a special circumstance. I would recommend saving your money and going down to the Phillipsburg Creamery instead. They are happy to give out samples, are friendly and actually make all the ice cream right there.

You can't go to Phillipsburg and not go to The Sweet Palace. Wow! Every kind of candy you can think of - taffy, caramel, hard candy, fudge and much, much more. The prices are very reasonable and you can mix and match everything but the fudge. I walked out with 2 lbs of candy and a half pound of fudge for $20. Had fun browsing the shop.

This is a fun shop with so many types of candy and more flavors than I knew existed. Whatever kind of candy or sweet treat you fancy, it will be here. Great gummy candy, hard candy, candy jars, chocolate, fudge, you name it and it is here. I have gone several times and it is always fun.

The Sweet Palace is fabulous! I tried a section of candles and fudge. All were fresh and delicious. Sometimes candy can be stale, but that was not the case at The Sweet Palace!
The pricing is all by the pound so it made mixing candy bags very easy. The store layout was good and while it was crowded, there was a good flow and easy to buy more candy!
The Sweet Palace was great and worth the trip!

We were looking forward to our visit here, having been told by several folks this was a place not to be missed. It is closed on Saturdays. We did not know this and would have planned ahead had we known. We were not able to return back on another day. Darn!

I felt like Charlie Bucket walking into this place. Candy everywhere. We spent a lot of time perusing the store before settling on various fudge offerings that we tried. The Raspberry/White Chocolate fudge was heaven in a square. We also bought a mixed pack of their saltwater taffy. The taffy was mostly tasteless but the consistency was good. Overall, a very cool store.

If you like candy, you'll like the Sweet Palace. I can't think of one item that they did not carry from fudge, truffles, gummy everythings, chocolate covered anything, sweet and sour confections, you name it! The prices for most of the candy was $7.95/pound. The truffles, grizzly paws, turtles and chocolate bark was more like $16 per pound, so if that's your thing, it can get quite pricey. However, the charm of the store front and the choices offered make it a worthwhile splurge in my opinion. If you are in the tiny town of Philipsburg, The Sweet Palace is not to be missed.
