About Lewis and Clark Trail Adventures - Day Tours
When Lewis & Clark and the Corps of Discovery set out to map the uncharted route and the waterways leading to the Pacific Ocean in 1803, they did so with courage, precision and above all else an undying thirst for adventure. Lewis & Clark Trail Adventures has been the leader in connecting travelers to the rivers & trails of the historic expedition of Lewis & Clark through Montana & Idaho. We offer whitewater rafting trips on the Alberton Gorge, Lochsa and Blackfoot Rivers, Town floats on the Clark Fork River, Multi-day Wilderness River trips on the Salmon River, Historical Canoe trips on the Missouri river and hiking trips on the Lolo Trail. We offer active adventures with a personal touch. We take pride in the fact that many of our guests have been with us before and return for new adventures. Whatever your adventure: paddling a canoe, the thrill of whitwater or gazing across the rugged Bitterroot range after a long hike on the Lolo Trail, you will remember meals prepared with care, time shared with old friends and new and the rejuvenating feeling that only comes from spending a week in the wilderness.Owners Wayne & Gia Fairchild invite you to join in the adventures along the Lewis & Clark Trail!

This company does a fabulous job in all respects including staying in touch after we booked the trip, to making sure we were prepared, to expertly guiding our raft through the rapids. Our guides were super fun and entertaining and, as I mentioned, expertly guided us through the tricky part of the rapids ensuring a safe and fun experience for all. We could not have enjoyed our experience any more.

A six day, 5 night rafting and camping experience on the Salmon River was so much fun! The excellent crew (Cory, Chris, Tiffany, Rachel and Spencer) were so skilled handling the river! The meals, equipment and camaraderie were the perfect accompaniment to the natural beauty of the Salmon river and canyon. Hats off to Wayne and Gia :). How did you keep the beer so cold?

Our first trip on the Salmon River with Lewis and Clark Trail Adventures was a truly special, never to be forgotten experience. It is a real privilege to get to these true wilderness areas and to experience them whilst feeling that every detail has been considered. We felt always that safety was a very high priority, the places we stayed were pristine and the guides were at pains to maintain that, the food was absolutely fabulous, delicious and varied. Most of all, we had a great deal of fun whilst experiencing this extraordinary place and being educated about the area, its history and all it's natural wonders. Thank you to your fantastic team.

We had the best time ever! Family of 6 (kid ages 17-15-11-9) did the day trip on the Alberton Gorge. Guides were extremely informative and funny, and we all had a spectacular time. Don't be afraid if you have limited (or no) experience - they guide you through the whole process. Water shoes are definitely recommended, and yes, you'll get wet!!!
