Montana's popular ski area features the "Paradise," a three-mile long scenic trail, and the "Grizzly," which drops skiers 2,000 vertical feet through steep terrain. Beginners will find slim pickings, but the pros will have a blast with the numerous offerings at this 950-acre skiers' haven.

Great for huckleberry picking & lunch

The summer time trip up to snowbowl was great! Cool mountain road to get up there, chairlift was relaxing and beautiful! A Huckleberry vodka lemonade on the deck at the bar was delightful. Great place to visit. You can walk down, chairlift down, or rent mountain bikes down.... also a zipline option is offered.

My husband and I enjoyed a day at Snowbowl this past winter. My biggest negative complaint was the lack of trail signage. The runs were fairly decent, but you almost never knew what trails you were on. Towards the end we found ourselves on a black diamond, which wasn't ideal! We made it down safe but lets say I don't... Big Shout Out to Matt and Will our zip lining guides. We had never tried this before and were a bit nervous, but up for the adventure. They show you everything you need to know, are super patient, and encouraging. This is a great adventure and not too expensive.

This is a small local ski hill more for the experienced skier. A friend and I went up here in March and can I just say it's the best snow I have seen all year from all over. They groomed some runs but left others un groomed for a nice powder day. It was midweek so not a lot of... More

We ski here every winter, and recently stayed the night. Here is the rundown: LODGING: modest but clean, comfortable beds, warm and cozy. The shared kitchen is a nice plus. Truly ski-in, ski-out! SKIING: this is an expert hill, however, there are plenty of runs at the top for intermediate skiers, and a few for beginners. Beginners will find the... More

Usually, each winter I head for Big Sky Country to see friends and to ski. Montana Snowbowl is easy to get to, just off exit 101 on Interstate 90 north of Missoula, Montana. The lift ticket is 1/3 to 1/4th the price of a ticket in Colorado and major ski areas in the west. Furthermore, there is easy access to... More

Great little mountain with excellent food. The food is a great deal and tasty. In the bar they have a wood fire pizza that you should get. I also demoed skies and had great treatment there too. Wish we lived closer everyone we met were friendly and welcoming.

We ski here during the winter and always make at least one trip during the summer for pizza. This year we went zip-lining and had a blast! The skiing is more intermediate and advanced than beginner. There are several nice beginner runs though. The view from the top is amazing! In the summer the chair ride is fun and you... More
