I have always loved it that you can drive 4 miles north out of Missoula and in 10-15 minutes be in the Rattlesnake Wilderness. There is lots of parking and bathrooms at the trailhead. From here you can explore over 73 miles of trails, many...More

Lovely hike today with our son. An old logging road turned into a walker, hiker, mountain biker paradise. Enchanted sound of the creek along much of the trail with side-trails allowed for hiking which exclude mountain bikes. Best of all worlds. We'll definitely be back.

Only minutes out of Missoula, the recreational opportunities here are endless. Hiking, backpacking, mountain biking, skiing, snowshoeing, snowmobiling, etc. The landscape is stunning and the recreation area is HUGE.

Yes. There different trails to choose from and shorter routes. It is all so beautiful you'll enjoy even a short trek. And, the trailhead is a good spot to rest up before and after. Hope you have fun!
