So Very Beautiful!

This narrow winding road takes you through this beautiful canyon full of trees and deer. In the fall the leaves are breath-taking.

We followed the Sam Braxton trail loop from the alltrails app. It got a little steep at one point, but then accessed a long flat ridge with great views. Perfect day hike not too far from Missoula.

Our large group had a catered BBQ at one of the picnic sites. The place is nicely wooded with ample parking and picnic tables. They had a toilet there also. We had a catered event there and it was very picturesque.

Hands down my favorite spot to mountain bike in Missoula. The road up presents a nice warm up for several climbs around Mount Sentinel as well as some really fun single tracks once you reach the top. One of the advantages of biking up here is that you can see beyond a few feet, allowing for faster rides as there... More

Lots of open space for visitors to explore - Pattee Canyon is a natural wonderland that is easy to access, free, and big fun to recreate in year round.

Our family member lives by Pattee Canyon and we drive up it to their house. The area has nice hiking trails and picnic areas. You always see deer on the road and at night you have to be careful not to hit one. They also told us some of the young adults in town use it for other "recreational" uses.

Short and longer hikes and trails are optional at the Pattee Canyon recreation area. Dedicated to recreation, it is a good spot to roam and exercise most times of the year.

Close to town. A variety of good biking and ski trails. You can bike all the way back to town on the face of Mt. Sentinel if you come down the Crooked Canyon trail.
