Make sure you turn into the correct entrance driveway
Jun 2018 • Friends
As you enter the golf club there are two lanes that are side by side with a single sign at the entrance to both that says "golf". The two lanes are only a couple of feet apart, and a wire fence runs between them. I took the right hand lane which appeared to be the one marked with the "golf" sign and drove a couple of hundred yards up the lane until determining I was on the wrong path. I turned around in the road, being very careful not to get off the gravel onto a hay crop that comes right up the road, and drove back to the correct lane and clubhouse parking area. An extremely agitated and hostile man dressed in a mechanics coveralls roared up in a pickup truck waving his arms and called me an "--sshole" for driving down his lane and turning around on the road. He jumped out of the pickup and acted like he wanted a fight. I asked him what he expected me to do and he said, "back out to the main road." Wow. That was about a city block of backing out. Not a great way to start off a nice day of golf getting screamed at by a neighbor over a road that wasn't clearly marked. Welcome to (not so) friendly Livingston I suppose. My advice if you are a first time visitor is to carefully pick which lane you drive in and realize that both lanes are marked "golf", and get ready for profanities and a confrontation if you pick the wrong lane. I should note that a couple of golf club staff members kindly sought me out in the parking lot and apologized for the idiotic and threatening behavior of the neighboring business owner. Obviously the friendly staff of the Livingston Golf Course can't be blamed for the confrontational behavior of the jerk next door. I did eventually enjoy 18 holes of golf under bright blue Montana skies.

Great golf course for the money...but not ready for the PGA tour
Aug 2017 • Couples
This is a great little golf course that's well maintained and suited for folks who prefer long, straight fairways with no elevation. There are a couple of holes that run along the Yellowstone River and the wind can be challenging (or brutal) depending upon your outlook! For the money and convenience, you can't beat it (unless you're used to playing country clubs and high-end exclusive courses). Hey...it's Montana and it's golf! Go for it.

Awesome Course, Gorgeous Setting!

What a great little course! Excellent condition, greens were fast but true. Some really challenging holes with a few easier ones to balance it out. Easy to walk, pretty flat course. Staff was super friendly. Affordable plus plenty of liquids on hand. Awesome view of the mountains and a couple holes are right on the bank of the Yellowstone River! Definitely worth playing here when visiting this beautiful little town.

Dangerous golf course

The golf course is well maintained but poorly designed. We were hit once by a golf ball and twice just missed. We love Livingston; however, golf is not an option unless you have a helmet and no fear of flying objects

Great 9 holes!

Fantastic condition and friendly folks. Just a 9 hole course, but worth the stop. Course runs along the Yellowstone River with great views of the mountains all around. Inexpensive, too!

Happy to find a golf course in Livingston
Jun 2013 • Friends
To be honest, I was a surprised to find a golf course in the little town of Livingston, Montana. This is actually a pretty decent 9-hole course that offers a little bit of challenge. The best part is that it's right along the Yellowstone River. Would golf here again on a hot summer day. Not sure how it would be in the winter, if it's even open.

Fun place for golf
Aug 2012 • Family
This 9 hole golf course is a fun one. The mountains form the distant backdrop and the Yellowstone River runs along side. The club area is very casual and visitors are welcomed by the friendly staff. There's always a hot dog on the grill and there's a full bar, too.

Go with the wind
Here, you have to go with the wind. Some holes along the Yellowstone River. We played it in the winter.
