Our horseback rides are all guided, and go through miles of private timberland on both horse trails and logging roads. Though we do offer shorter lesson rides for the novice rider, our most popular ride, and the one providing the most fabulous scenery in the shortest amount of time, is our morning or afternoon ride. We also offer a half-day horseback ride, which includes a snack; and a full day trail ride, which includes a picnic lunch at a spot overlooking the Flathead Valley. The Western Barbecue Dinner ride is our personal favorite. Enjoy a late afternoon horseback ride to the mountaintop, followed by relaxing around the campfire while we prepare a traditional western barbecue.

Dude ranch showed promise for fair price.Owner operator very rude with no patience for people with dogs or young people. Small cabins, with tiny showers,no TV,Internet, phone service,or air conditioning. Plunger in bathroom nice touch as commodes easily clogged.Small decks in need of stain, paint, repair.Owners dog did not bite but aggressive.Next door neighbors 100 ft away held range day for an hour which... My family and I went to Artemis Acres Paint Horse Ranch in July 2016 for an all-inclusive experience of the West and we got even more than we expected! I'm not sure if all the packages are the same, but as part of our admission we had a horse trail ride and dinner with entertainment. First of all let me... More

Thank you Cecil and Alexis for the highlight of our vacation. The horses were well trained and you could tell they are very well taken care of. Our four kids loved their two hours on their horses and so did my husband and I. We could have stayed all day!!! I just wish I hadn't forgotten my sunglasses in the... More

We did the two-hour trail ride with Alexis. It was my daughter's second time on a horse by herself, and Alexis did a great job making her feel comfortable. She also let her help her feed the horses afterwards, which my daughter loved. The trail was beautiful, Alexis very knowledgeable and fun, and the horses well-cared for. They provided water... More

We went on a two hour ride with Alexis, she was wonderful! I am a semi-experienced rider and this was my husband's second time on a horse! We had such a great time on the trail with Alexis, Jack and Archie (our two horses) and their dogs! Majestic views from the top and beautiful scenery throughout the ride! We were... More

We took the two hour ride and it was fantastic. Our guides, Alexis and Melissa were so kind and thoughtful. They were attentive to all of our needs. We are a family of five, and we all enjoyed ourselves from my ten year old on up. The owner Cecil, was so kind, and seemed like an old friend. Having taken... More

This is a working ranch with well cared for horses. Cecil, the ranch owner, has done an incredible job with the horse herd here, and Artemis Acres is the only place we'll go ride when visiting this area of Montana. The rides are fantastic and the horses are very well mannered. (This is most likely because they have a really... More

My husband and I did the two-hour ride, and we were glad we did! Our guide, Cecil, did an excellent job of showing us various aspects of nature on our ride, including the way in which mistletoe chokes off fir trees in the area. He also provided us with some historical insights into the area, showing us where old mines... More

Can't rave enough about what a great find this place is! We only wished we had booked ahead so we could have stayed there & experienced it all for a couple of days instead of just an awesome 2-hr. horse back ride. But what a ride, guided by delightful Alexis, whose passion for the horses, the ranch, & land was... More
