They clean the big pool on weds, so thurs is the best day to soak if you want to share as few skin cells as possible with other people. The water tends to turn greenish in all the pools by Sunday (yuck). I don't really recommend a hotel stay because the beds are uncomfortable and the staff questionable, but the... More

It is definitely a very dated hotel. Everything is old and well used, and everything is saturated with sulphur smell, but don't miss out. My buddy and I visited here after doing the Spartan Beast race and we're happy we did. It middle of a small town, an hour away from Kalispell, we found a place to relax our tired... More

Absolutely loved it! We spent two nights at this hotel...if you are looking for the Ritz ( or Wingate ) this one is NOT for you! Family style run hotel...you do know that you are in a hotel that was built in the 1930's . The hot spring pool was as amazing as the private bath tubs I was soaking... More

the hotel is nothing grand, but functional. the beds are old, walls are thin, pretty run down actually - but go for the water. The water is amazing. 3 pools, each with a different temperature. YOu will only see 2, but ask about the hottest pool. The water also comes into the tubs. Very eccentric, hippy type place. There is... More

Always enjoy going for a swim. It doesnt matter if its busy or dead its always fun and friendly. The inside rooms and kinda small but you dont visit to stay in your room. If you are coming with your family I.suggest getting a cabin or apartment. Its historic so it's kinda loud at night at times. But love the... More

This place could use some work, pretty run down, not a good impression at first. The cabin was at least clean. The water was exceptional, but getting to it was muddy and pretty messy. Would I go back again. Sorry I wouldn't, I needed more for the experience, not just the water.😔

We were looking for things to do in the Glacier Park area. We saw the town of Hot Springs, MT and through other reviews decided to give it a try. It was a pretty good trip. The springs were nice and clean. It was a very relaxing afternoon. There were several springs with different temperatures. Great way to spend a... More

Don't let the exterior shy you away from Symes. Looks like and old bath house but well kept once you get past the exterior. 1 "traditional" type pool and 3 outdoor HOT pools. 1 more inside but we never made it in there but to just open the door. Everybody was friendly (staff and patrons). WE stayed in one of... More

Rating 3 star because of History and Architecture. If you are interested in history and building structure, you will enjoy Symes and the drive to get there. This is an Old Montana hot springs and is dated. The town dates from an era when hot springs were in vogue and there were 3 hot springs in the area. The town... More

Thank you for the reviewer that said if you want an authentic 1930's experience, this is it. So I knew that the place was not modern, although it is clear that all the money they have spent renovating has been on the exterior pools. The people that run it have lots of character, which adds to the appeal...but if you... More
