Because our son attends the college in Helena, we get to go there a couple times a year. This fun and informative activity is one we try to do at least once each year. The Last Chance Tour will give you fun historical facts on Helena while sightseeing in an open aired trolley. The guides are friendly and informative so... More

Wife and I only had one day in Helena and thought this would be an efficient use of our short time. It was. Very interesting history lesson on Helena. Tour starts right next to capital grounds. You are in train cars and the conductor narrates you theough a bunch of neighborhoods. My favorites were the mansions of the wealthy. About... More

I always enjoy learning local history when I take a vacation. The Tour Train is a great, easy going, all-age opportunity to do that in Helena. See the highlights of the capital complex, downtown, the walking mall, and the mansion district as you relax on a guided tour. The train is a vehicle that travels on the road, not track... More

Had a good time traversing the streets of Helena while an informative (and slightly humorous) guide told us all the interesting sights in the city. Took about 40 minutes.

We always look for a tour of this kind to get an overview of a new place, so we can see what we would like to spend more time seeing. This is an excellent tour with a thoroughly knowledgeable and engaging host. Absolutely worth the quite reasonable cost. Even popular with locals - we met some on the tour!

This is the way to see Helena and its beautiful buildings, and learn about its past and present. The commentary was entertaining, lots of interesting facts and historical events relayed with enthusiasm by a knowledgeable narrator. The route included the major attractions and gave us a much better feel for what to see while in town. The train went by... More

Lee was our conductor for the tour. Very friendly. This is a live narrative tour. He speaks loud and clear. Get there early to get you seat. Our tour filled up quickly. The seats on the tour train are narrow and not very comfortable so plan on that . But it's only an hour.

We really enjoyed the train tour. Everyone working the train was so friendly. The engineer was very knowledgeable and knew all kinds of tidbits and fun facts about Helena's history. He pointed out all the interesting houses and mansions belonging to people of history and currently today. He's a history teacher at the high school, so his knowledge was factual and... More

We had a wonderful and knowledgable conductor on our tour. Tour is not recorded. It was both informative and entertaining. Recommend.
