This is a neat little street with restaurants, coffee shops, and antique shops. We were referred here by the hotel and we were not displeased. we will definitely come back when we are next thru Helena

Candy shops, toys shops, fashion stores, they've got almost everything at Last Chance Gulch! There are no cars allowed on the road, so it was nice to be able to cross the street without having to look both ways. This is very fun to walk through! I strongly suggest The Parrot Confectionery. They have so many different candies to choose... More

I wonder how many critics checked out things beyond the storefronts. The gold exhibit inside Wells Fargo. The original statue of the Boy with the Boot inside US Bank. This statue has been copied in many places as a fountain with water coming out of the leaky boot. Both banks also have excellent murals. Did you see the giant thumbprint... More

We came here after getting some directions for some restaurants in the general area. We found free parking and walked the Gulch! There were some interesting buildings in the area, but the vast majority of the businesses were either closed for the day or permanently closed! The only thing that drew my attention was a place that my wife forbid... More

We walked part of the Last Chance Gulch area and it was okay. The area was named after some miners from Georgia didn't find any gold and were on the way back to Georgia. They camp there by a stream and one said this is our last chance to strike it rich and they did. They have turned one end... More

Perfect location, old buildings, walking only area, nice views of historic buildings but, ummm, there seemed to be more vacant shops than open ones, and only the large outdoor store on the west corner across from the mural was 'good shopping'. Drive business into here, anything. Meh.

Last Chance Gulch is definitely a must-see if you're in the Helena area. There are a large number of sculptures, water features, memorial plaques, and other such things to see. There are ample benches if you want to sit and watch people or enjoy a coffee or ice cream from one of the numerous shops located along the walking mall.... More

We walked down the Last Chance Gulch expecting to find a restored area with stores and restaurants. Instead we found a pretty run down walking mall with only a few bars and mostly vacant buildings. Save your time and do something else!

The walking mall was interesting at the end of the Last Chance Gulch road with many modern stores. Take the train tour first to hear the history of the place

This is a special western treat. A short buggy ride pulled by two magnificient horses, excellent prime rib and a beautiful setting. Bruce Affinson will entertain you and he's a true Montana gem
