This is a quaint spot to visit when in Helena. Downtown restaurants and shops, river built into the sidewalks to follow, a waterfall and some statues of bears to pose next to. We also enjoyed the musical garden.

My family and I had a few hours to spare and decided to walk up and down Last Chance Gulch. It was a beautiful walk with some fun shops to visit. Wish there were a few more shops, however.

We enjoyed some great Mexican food at one restaurant and ice cream at another. Lots of neat shops to visit.

As I hadn't visited Helena in many years, Last Chance Gulch was high on the list of attractions to visit. What was once a main street has become a beautiful walking mall, lined with interesting shops and apartments. It ends at the library and a nice park, making it appropriate for individuals or families. There were also a number of... More

Our first stop was was at Barnes Jewelry, outside of which sits Helena's old penny machine. We got our pennies and checked out the shop... More

Fun to peek in to the little shops along the way. Talk to friendly merchants. Take you time and stop for a snack too.

The Walking Mall is one of the few pedestrian malls left in the US and does contain some of the more interesting buildings from Helena's early period.

We enjoyed walking through this area and the architecture of the old historic buildings is amazing. Very pleasant place to spend a few hours. Good selection of restaurants and places to brab a beer or coffee.
