This is the second time we've checked out Havre's Beneath the Streets. The first time was fun just because it was the first time. But this time was better because our guide, Kathy, was informative, full of historical facts and extra tidbits to make the tour even more interesting and enjoyable. She's a history teacher and loves gathering historical facts... More

This fascinating tour provided a combination of history, visual experience, and imagination. It was absolutely worth stopping in order to learn about this unusual moment in history and to grow in understanding about the people and businesses of the early 1900s. Kathie led the tour, and her insight made the tour so enjoyable and interesting. It also helped that we... More

My hubby and I came to havre just for this. It was wonderful to see. The guide was great. Lots of interesting facts and he was funny. Would have liked to go at my own pace perhaps smaller groups. Wish we could see more. Would love to see it in action with live players in the roles . Definitely worth... More

Very cool tour from a totally different era. Loved to hear how life was back in the 1920's - 1930's. Kids enjoyed the tour also. Tour guide was fantastic!

Interesting! Really worth seeing what went on 100 years ago beneath the town of Havre. I wish more of the rooms had been accurately recreated for what they were back in the day, (some were, but some just held interesting rooms from the past that were never really housed there). Still worth seeing.

Where to begin? This is an hour of sheer fascination. A local tour guide/historian walks you through the old underground town, built after the above ground wooden structures burned down. You see the old saloon and brothel, the Chinese laundry, the barber, pharmacy, general store and more. The clothes and equipment are exquisite, and the tour guide creates an authentic... More

Combine a faithfully recreated saloon, brothel, bakery, sausage factory, opium den and more with a passionate-about-history guide and you have the setting for a wonderful tour. Oh my, this was just wonderful. Our guide was great, we enjoyed the small railroad museum beforehand, and best of all were the way the children were included. Our guide made them feel so... More
