About
We are the largest and oldest children's museum in Montana and proud of how far we have come- our current collection of over 20 exhibits is a must see for all visitors! While the years have passed, the mission remains the same- To Ignite a Passion for Lifelong Learning! Whether they are saving lives as a doctor in the Little Falls Clinic, learning about money in the Giant Springs Credit Union, or living on the homestead of the frontier; hands-on play is the goal and their own imagination is the only limitation!

My kids love this place and we always visit, when we come down to Great falls.
Great children museum- had a real plane fuselage- cockpit, a flight control tower, a bank, a boat, a dress up area - with princess dresses, shoes and handbags, and a toddlers area on the main floor. On the upper floor- there's a Supermarket with a check out and shopping carts, a doctors office with x rays and medical paraphernalia, a dentists office complete with a dental chair, a lego room, a Sheriffs office with a jail, and other play areas! Its really great! come visit and support this Children's museum and hopefully they can expand further!

I have taken my nieces, 4 and 6, here several times. They love it! It has different "rooms" for them to pretend to be a banker, doctor, dentist, archaeologist, teacher, etc. The jail is pretty popular too. Two floors, lots to see and touch and do. We have stayed up to 2.5 hours, and they weren't ready to go. Fun time.

We took our 3 y-old daugter there in the morning on weekend and she really had lots of fun by playing, jumping, running, etc., she did not want to leave after 3 hrs in it. My wife and I had a double expresso coffee meanwhile watched our daughter enjoy that amazing 2 stories family place. We also purchased a few itme at the front small gift store section, and could take many pictures and videos. There parking is good enough for all visitors but not easy to drive into the building parking, not even by using GPS it's that easy, but locals are very helpful. Staff are very nice, polite, smilly and helpful. We may be back again in future visits if travelling with our daughter. The site is well located in town, close to Missouri river and many othger attractions like museums, restaurants, parks, etc. Good wi-fi, only pay admission at front desk at reasonable price. Winter greetings from Speedycreek - SK - Canada.

Two floors of imaginative play opportunities. Very hands on centres including airplane, boats, credit union, historical fort, grocery store, hospital, dentist, lego and more. Skewed towards the younger set, but both my kids loved it.

Hello and thank you for visiting us! We are currently working to update our exhibits to include activities and attractions for the older kiddos in the family, as well as for the whole family to get in on the "hands on play" aspect as well! Our historical fort has been the biggest and most recent change as of late and now features jumbo connect 4 and soon corn hole! We look forward to seeing you again soon.

This is definitely not a museum but more of an indoor play center. The items were extremely worn and dirty. I was disappointed in the quality of the play items. The building was run down and needs a major renovation. I would not recommend at all. Also, the “rugs” at the bottom of the slides were completely filthy and the boat display was torn and grimy. Bring hand sanitizer!

Hello, Kerri! Thank you for your response. Our new staff (from the front desk to Executive Director) takes feedback like yours very seriously. We're happy to let you know that while we are new to managing our Tripadvisor account, we had addressed all of the above concerns in the Summer of 2019. While we are in a lease for our building and do what we can there, we have implemented upgrades and updates all over our Museum in recent months. We have new paint on almost every wall and exhibit. On our bottom level, the slide mats were replaced with black memory foam mats that can easily be sanitized and maintained and our boat received a new vinyl seat. Our fort exhibit was updated to the "Little Falls Treehouse" as well! This update included all new artificial grass flooring, paint, updated surround decor, and removal of the faux furs in favor of "scouting" and family activities. This exhibit is now geared more towards encouraging active play and parent participating in games like corn hole and jumbo connect 4. Upstairs we also have two new exhibits- the Homestead (a revised historical exhibit) and the Schoolhouse (open access to learning materials for children of all ages).
We understand it may be difficult to consider visiting again after your experience, but promise that we recognized your concerns as well and all of those things were top priority for us to change too. If you are in the area, please consider stopping by. We would love to see you again!

Have been to the Childrens Museum with the grandkids several times! Always a fun, learning event. Last time was for our 5 year olds birthday party...special room for the party and the kids had the whole place to themselves! It was a great time!

The term "museum" is misleading. It is a "ply center", geared toward young children. We felt the receptionist should have told us before paying...our 12yo was bored, making it a waste of money.

Good for an hour or two of entertainment with toddlers. Kids over 4 yo likely won't be amused unless joined by friends.
The woman working behind the desk did not greet me upon entering-she didn't even look up or respond after I said hello. I then asked her if I was to just enter since my son was already there with his classmates. She responded all disgusted with, 'I guess so'. So odd and so very rude.
