We did a six day backcountry hike with Emil in early October 2020, and it was wonderful. Emil is a genuinely good person and was a great guide. He not only made it a safer and easier trip, but he also shared his knowledge of the park and it's ecosystem with us as we hiked. Taking in Yellowstone from the road provides plenty of spectacular views and wildlife, but actually going into the park's backcountry can be an incredible experience with a guide like Emil.

Took my daughter (7 years old) here for Christmas, and I had to forewarn her that there was no guarantee of what we would see. Well, thanks to the folks at YW, and Mike in particular who was our guide, we saw just about everything. Plenty of bison, but also saw a fox, coyote, bald eagle, and a moose. Stopped midway through for a great picnic, while it was snowing, which just added to the special day. Highly recommend using YW who know where to go to make sure you have a great day. Also, would recommend adding the photo package. Sometimes the animals will be very far off in the distance, and unless you have a camera that is capable of taking shots far far away, an iPhone camera or generic camera won't do the trick. Thanks again!

From the minute the tour started in Gardiner, We knew that Mike was the ultimate guide. He made sure what we wanted to do and see was the priority. His knowledge throughout the day allowed us to better understand the intricacies of habitat, animal, and man’s impact. We have been to Yellowstone back in the summer but never saw Yellowstone in the way we were seeing it that day. He had an answer for every question based in data and his knowledge as a masters in naturalism. He provided tasty treats throughout the day as well quickly setting up spotting scopes for all of us. We all were provided individual binoculars as well. In this age of COVID, the company and Mike provided for our safety. If your looking for a great day and an opportunity to learn about Yellowstone in a way you couldn’t otherwise, this company is it.

Tyrene led my friends and me on a lovely hike through Yellowstone near Mammoth Springs. She is incredibly knowledgable about the local flora and fauna. Tyrene pointed out things to us we would not have known or discovered on our own had we been by ourselves. I will definitely book another tour again! Great value for a lifetime of memories!
