We had a guide pick us up at the Izaak Walton Inn and drive us to Marias Pass, just into Glacier NP on the S end, between the E and W entrances. Guide was friendly, took us to a lovely place which we might have been able to navigate on our own, but nice to have the reassurance of his way finding. Beautiful skiing amidst the trees. We asked for veggie lunch option - got wraps with just lettuce and a couple slices of avocado - not quite substantive enough for a winter's day ski. If you are good at finding routes in snow, you could rent a car from Izaak Walton and have the same experience for less $. Still, a pleasant day.

We are glad you enjoyed your day. Lunches provided also include chips and an apple. We try to make lunch special as it is an important meal of the day. Other lunch options included Turkey or ham. Trailheads are difficult to find and are not well marked. What seems so simple only comes from years of knowing the right spots and the right conditions. Having a guide gives you piece of mind that your outing will not be disappointing. The park is a big place. We hope to see you again one day.

Had a wonderful snowshoe tour. Guide was knowledgable about a variety of park facts and pointed out many interesting things along the route. The itinerary was pretty open depending on the weather and snowpack for the day and we were very pleased with the choices.

Our guide, Greg, was patient with our many questions about Glacier National Park and worked hard to fulfill our requests for what we hoped to experience on the tour. His love of nature and the land is genuine and reverent without being pretentious. We experienced an absolutely perfect day. As the saying goes, you get what you pay for, so while the cost of the tour might seem pricey, it’s worth every penny. Greg had all of the equipment we needed and the included lunch was fresh and tasty. To say that I’m a Type A personality is a bit of an understatement, so when I say that I’m impressed by the professionalism and courtesy of a company, it means something. Everyone we interacted with, from the answering service to Rusty and Greg’s wife, was friendly and informative. You won’t regret booking with Glacier Adventure Guides!

Rusty Wells expertly guided us on a 4+ hour snowshoe tour in West Glacier. We got off the beaten path and saw some beautiful scenery, including around the shores of Lake McDonald (where we saw a lone swan disguised as a rock) and up to the amazing, frozen McDonald Creek Waterfall. We enjoyed sitting amongst the trees for lunch and hot chocolate as snow fell quietly around us. We were happy to have Rusty's companionship and stories as well as his expertise. A wonderful day!

My wife and I went on a half day guided snowshoe excursion into Glacier National Park. We had an amazing experience. Our guide was Dan'l, and he was knowledgeable and personable. We let him choose where to go based on weather and conditions, so he took us along Lake McDonald. It was truly beautiful. Dan'l kept the pace and distance to where we were comfortable. We are hikers, but snowshoeing can be a workout! This was easy to book and the office was very accommodating. We would totally use Glacier Adventure Guides again.

We were worried about visiting during what turned out to be an extreme cold front of -40 Celsius. However, Greg reassured us that he would be able to accommodate and adapt the tour to ensure we still had an experience of a lifetime and it would remain safe. He certainly fulfilled on both these. We set off from the office just after 0930 and Greg explained the route we would take during the day if things go to plan, even lending one of our party a spare jacket. Sadly on the way to our original location the bridge that was due to be clear had not been plowed that morning so was impassable. Nonetheless, Greg adapted on the spot and took us to another area of the park. He gave us several options and after a delicious lunch at a beautiful historic railway inn we headed out for a tour and shenanigans snowshoeing. Before heading back to the office Greg took us to a spot near Lake Mcdonald where we saw some excellent views of the mountains. Greg stopped and gave us opportunity wherever we wanted to for sightseeing and adapted the tour despite the extreme cold. We hope to return soon and explore the park in some slightly warmer temperatures.

Rusty spent a day with us cross-country skiing though gorgeous snow-clad cedars and hemlocks, along Lake MacDonald, and talked about the history and area. We had lunch along the lake, took many photos, and laughed so hard when we fell down we couldn't get up.We're a family with adult kids. t's a stunning place to spend a wintry day and see the beauty of this park. Thank you, Rusty!

This tour was amazing! Rusty, our guide, was fantastic and very helpful. He had any gear and items we could have ever needed. He guided us to the most beautiful locations to snowshoe by, had a delicious lunch for us, took photos for us, and guided us back. We ended a little bit early so he brought us to some other amazing locations by car- it was incredible. Not to mention Rusty is super funny and has great humor. He really knows where “the spots” are for photos etc. Highly recommend this tour!

Knowing that my time at Glacier National Park was limited I was hoping to find a guide that could maximize my time. They were highly recommended by the company that I rented a home from. Our first day snowshoeing with Greg was great! It was so great we booked a 2nd trip. Glacier Adventure Guides did not disappoint. Greg’s knowledge of the Park was fantastic. We could not have asked for a better time. Thank you Glacier Adventure Guides for making our trip so memorable!

Our guide Greg took my wife and I on a full day private SnowShoeing tour from Isaak Walton Inn in Essex into Glacier National Park. Greg is knowledgeable and friendly, full of experience and joyfully shares with others. We learned a lot about the area, safety and snow shoe tips. We were very happy with our day and really recommend Greg and his company.
