When you walk into the museum you will see what looks like a lot to see -- that is the gift shop! The museum is in the back of the shop in an entirely different wing. The displays are easy to follow and I would...More

Small for a museum (four long hallways), but packed with displays. We used a rainy day to explore it and glad we did. Among many things, the Indian eagle headdresses and "robes" and beadwork are awesome. The photo displayed shows the last room which also...More

My husband pulled over for a coffee bathroom break and we weren’t expecting to see the beautiful museum. It is so hard to find Native history or artifacts so well preserved and appreciated. We used the guided speakers to help us through the tour and...More

This a small but very well done museum. The dioramas are nice and the audio tour good. The gift shop has a wide array of locally produced items.

Wow, never expected this. Amazing museum and great shop. Great lodge next door to stay in with a cool coffee/gift shop around the back. Wetland nature preserve with trails to watch wildlife. Guest ranches nearby as well for those interested in horseback riding trips.

The museum is definitely a must stop off Highway 93 from Missoula to the beautiful Flathead Lake. Wonderful Montana history and the Flathead Reservation. All ages will enjoy from 90 years to 3. Then enjoy a great meal next door.

This is an awesome pit stop on 93. The store has amazing jewelry, books, art, etc. and the museum is great. The woman at the desk was so welcoming and friendly and told us to go out and see the cabin and the surrounding grounds....More

If I could give this place six stars I would. AAA marks many attractions as a "gem" meaning they are a must see. This discovery is a must see! Not a huge, but an excellent collection of Native American, paraphernalia. An amazing private collection of...More
