This beach is something else! A bit off the main road, it's huge and on a good day it's like a dream where you can't see the place where the sea and the sky meet.

The beach is beautifully clean with enough space for families to go with children and have a wonderful day out.

Be aware that the toilets are not great, there's a bit of a walk from the car park to the beach (though you can drop people off at the beach and drive back up - not a great idea given the road is narrow and people are walking up and down it) and the cafe is a little bit on the expensive side (though the staff are wonderful, cheerful and helpful).

The best bit about Penbryn is that it is actually two beaches. When the tide drops you can walk around the northern headland into a whole new section of beach which is even more stunning than the main beach and more sandy.
Lots of woodland walks nearby as well. There is a small cafe and toilets just back at the car park (about 5 mins from the beach) but no lifeguards. It’s quiet and very narrow roads to get there.
But we love it. Sssh - don’t tell anyone!

A beautiful rugged beach. This beach has beautiful soft sand and is very picturesque, there are also some lovely rocks at the far end of the beach. The beach is quite exposed to the wind, so make sure you dress appropriately. For parking there is a National Trust car park about 200 metres from the beach. It is free to park for members, otherwise it is £5. There is also a lovely NT cafe at the entrance to the car park.

Small, quiet, beach with no amenities other than a cafe near the car park. There is a 400m walk from the car park down to the beach although cars can drive down the lane to drop off people and their belongings. A perfect beach for dog owners.

A very beautiful beach run by the National Trust.
This is a gem of a beach and well kept as you would expect by the Trust.
It was busy at the time of our visit but the overflow car park was able to cope.
The only disappointment was the number of dogs allowed to do as they will if not looked after. I understood that they were not allowed during the summer months so this was a big surprise.

Big sandy spacious beach that never felt overcrowded. It’s a steep but tarmaced road down to it. Plenty of parking by the Plwmp Tart and the overflow field.

We ordered packed lunches for the kids from the Plwmp Tart to eat on a shady spot at the beach.

Sea was calm and shallow for young children to play in. So good we did two days in a row, and again later in the week!

I used to visit here whilst on holiday as a teen. Beautiful, clean beach. One of my favourite beaches actually. I've spotted dolphins here a few times. The only reason I've not given 5 stars is purely because if you're disabled and aren't able to have anyone drop you at the beach before they go and park, then walk back down to you, you won't be able to visit. The walk back to the carpark is too much for someone with physical disabilities.
Overall though it's a lovely place.

We stayed at Penbryn over Christmas 2014 and so availed ourselves of the beach every day with our dogs, for walks.
The National Trust needs to get its act together to cater for dog owners,so many of whom use the beach out of season. There are many signs telling dog owners that they cannot use the beach in season but out of season,no dog bins provided for pooh bags.We are responsible dog owners who will carry bags with them but many will still be tempted to throw bags into the undergrowth!Come on NT,don`t turn your back on this problem ,Address it and at least provide bins at the entrance to the beach. Also, where are the litter bins? Someone is not doing their job properly! We are well known for being an uncaring nation as far as litter is concerned but that is no excuse for The National Trust to go along and support this reputation!

Dogs are not allowed on this beach between May and September because the National Trust have decided to ban them due to dog poo being left on the beach and people taking dangerous dogs to the beach and letting them run riot and frighten families.

If you have a dog you can go to Llangrannog or the South beach at Newquay. Both beaches accept dogs and have parking that's easier than Penbryn and cafe that are dog friendly too.

A lovely, easy, and very pretty walk down from the N.T. car park (£4) The family had walked over from Tresaith, (hold on to small hands in parts). A fabulous beach, supposedly dog free between May and September, but this doesn’t always seem to be the case. Make a point of stopping off at the Plwmp Tart cafe in the car park.
