I used to visit here whilst on holiday as a teen. Beautiful, clean beach. One of my favourite beaches actually. I've spotted dolphins here a few times. The only reason I've not given 5 stars is purely because if you're disabled and aren't able to have anyone drop you at the beach before they go and park, then walk back down to you, you won't be able to visit. The best bit about Penbryn is that it is actually two beaches. When the tide drops you can walk around the northern headland into a whole new section of beach which is even more stunning than the main beach and more sandy. Lots of woodland walks nearby as well. There is a small cafe and toilets just back at the car park (about 5 mins from the beach) but no lifeguards. It’s quiet and very narrow roads to get there. But we love it. Sssh - don’t tell anyone! …

We wondered whether it’s possible to walk along the beach to Tresaith, and can confirm it’s not possible even at low tide. Lovely cafe up the hill at The Plwmp Tart.…
