This was an easy but very special hike. You follow a creek up a gently sloping mountain. Restorative and calming. Gorgeous views from the top while standing in the middle of a field of wildflowers. So lovely and peaceful, felt like The Sound of Music.

I hike this trail at least once every year. It is beautiful no matter what season. You can make it a short hike or continue on and connect to the Bridger Ridge Trail.

I love this trail. You can hike, bike, run your way to Saddle Peak. I love that the trail follows the creek for a bit, it is so relaxing, refreshing, and great for doggies. The views are amazing!

This is a moderate and fun walk with some portions along a gorgeous creekside. We enjoyed watching a family of marmots (aka rock-chucks) frolic on a steep rock face over the creek). The local news has warned of a spate of car break-ins at the...More

Absolutely loved the hike. Took it slow and easy and enjoyed taking in nature at its best. The creek was so relaxing, well shaded path in most areas. Unfortunately, when we got back to our car, 6 cars, including ours, had smashed windows, some purses...More

This trail is great for average hikers. There are great views, but the trail isn't terribly difficult. As well, it's quite shady. It took us about an hour to make it to the end of the trail. Views of the changing Aspens were marvelous.

I hike with my dogs, one of which is a Saint Bernard who could overheat easily in the summer. I like to hike this trail because it's close to town and there is almost always water in the stream for the pups. In the spring...More

A few words about directions..from the intersection of Saddle Mountain Road and Walker it is about 2 miles to the trailhead. The first mile is paved and the second is on a gravel road with some moderate size potholes. You will see some faded brown...More

Fun hike. Starts out along the creek for quite a while and then starts to go up in elevation. If you want to get to the ridge, it's possible from this trailhead but it's a pretty huge hike. The last mile prior to the ridge...More
