Little pricey for our 1 hour visit, but our kids needed some active time.
Staff was super friendly, space was large.
Youngest is more daring & was disappointed he had to either belay or not climb higher than his head. (As was I to be honest, he’s had lessons and knows what he’s doing, but I understand the liability.)
An hour wore them out $47
Wish we had one of these in fargo.

We had my son's Bday party here and the staff was excellent. The kids had an absolute blast and we felt they were kept safe climbing. There is a room upstairs where they let you do the cake thing. It was great.

This is a phenomenal year round indoor climbing center. Super tall walls make for long climbs for any experience level. For the experience climber, there's even holds on the ceiling. Great instruction for beginners. Setups for top rope, lead climbing, and bouldering. They recently added a couple self-belay systems so you can climb solo if you want. A great asset to the Bozeman community. They also offer many educational clinics throughout the year. You can have a birthday party at the gym. They also provide guided outdoor climbs in the area. And on top of all that, they are in the process of expanding which will make for an enormous climbing gym.

The new walls are nice, and can't wait for them to expand the facility. I take disabled folks here in the summer as part of an adventure program and they never cease to deliver. The participants love it.

This gym stands out among the many climbing gyms I have visited across the US and world. While it is not as large as those in metropolitan areas like Sunnyvale and Boulder, the routes are consistently good quality. I have climbed in gyms in Sunnyvale CA, Boulder CO, Albuquerque NM, Amsterdam, Melbourne, and several in Sydney Australia. While many were larger gyms and some had higher ceilings for longer routes, none were as reliably challenging or as accurate on route difficulty. This gym is great for the serious climber as well as the casual, and I have taken my young family and out of town guests with everyone enjoying the facility.

Fantastic indoor climbing gym. The routes are varied and fun, there's levels for all skills. The staff are friendly and helpful. They offer great classes on everything from self rescue to overcoming fear of falling.

The climbing gym is spacious, and well laid out. A great mix of bouldering, top rope and sport routes. Grading of the routes is accurate and appropriate.

Staff at the gym were great. Our family enjoyed the climbing for the better part of an afternoon.
Lots of windows allowed the sunlight into the gym and the views of the mountains were inspiring.

If you want to climb big indoor walls on your way to your favorite climbing destination, this is the gym to do it.

My 9 yr old daughter wanted her birthday party at Spire even though we'd never even been inside before. I cannot begin to express how happy I am with this place. It was a busy Friday night but the two staff that were helping out (Marcus and Griffin) could not have been better - friendly, patient, knowledgeable, and did a great job with the kids. For two young men with a group of mostly 9 yr old girls, they didn't act like they had better things to do or start looking at their watches to see when the party was going to be over. Everyone from the time we walked in was helpful. I would highly recommend this place for birthday parties (your kids will leave exhausted and happy), a fun night out, or any kind of climbing you're wanting to get into. Thank you, Spire, for making my daughter's birthday so amazing.

As part of our family vacation to Yellowstone this year, my wife and sister and I hired a climbing guide to take us to one of the local crags. We contacted Spire ahead of time, and Lindsay Fixmer worked with us via email to plan a full day of climbing at a crag just north of Bozeman.

We ended up having a great time! Lindsay's a perfect guide: she's knowledgable, an excellent climber, comfortable teaching safe techniques, and very encouraging.

Climbing outdoors with Lindsay at Spire was definitely the highlight of our trip, and I heartily recommend them if you're looking to do some climbing in the Bozeman area.

Note: Their rental harnesses are perfectly safe but don't have gear loops, I'd suggest bringing your own if you want to sport lead.
