I was very disappointed. I was expecting to see multiple bears and to see Brutus. However, they only have one outdoor enclosure and have one bear out at a time. I wanted to like it because I really enjoy watching Casey Anderson on TV, but it is more like a roadside attraction than a sanctuary for bears that can't be in the wild. I don't know what the cages behind the outdoor exhibit look like, but I can't imagine they are what these animals deserve.

This is rated so high on Trip Advisor ...I usually agree with the ratings NOT this one. This is to grizzlies as Tiger King was to Tigers. This place should be shut down. It looks like the poor bears are kept in cages without windows. The guy talking about the bears said they were on bear time. If the bears wanted to go in they would let them back in. While we were there one of the female bears was out, and kept going to the back of the enclosed space, I can only guess that she wanted back in her cage. When they did finally let her go in they let another female out, that needed so much time to get her eyes adjusted to the sun light. My heart broke for these poor aniamls.

This is a good way to ensure you see at least one bear on your trip to Yellowstone. It's a quick stop; you enter next to the enclosure containing the bear. Good view of the bear, interesting facts on the guardrail and friendly staff to answer questions.

More interesting than our first impression. Be sure to stay long enough to hear the longer talk about the bears - how to behave if you encounter one in the wild. Or how to avoid that! It’s entertaining as well as informative. We stayed about 45 minutes and saw 2 different bears come out.
