We came on the rainiest day of the y ear I swear! And it took a little while to get the bears to come out but once they did they started bathing in the water and getting really close to the viewing ledge. Pretty cool! And the little amount of money helps support the bears. Would go again. Fun little... More

Easy to get to, reasonably priced. Staff was very knowledgeable in teaching us about the bears and their history at the Grizzly Encounter. Bears were playful and fun to watch. You're able to get up pretty close to take pictures and videos. Only negative is that there's not a lot of shade, so plan ahead if it's a hot summer... More

We had a great time visiting and seeing the bears. The staff are very knowledgeable about the bears and they have a great gift shop. We returned for a second day because your entrance ticket is valid for two days.

Apparently, when Trip Advisor updated my email & merged 2 accounts, they accidentally credited a review to me which horrified me---I will ask that they remove it as soon as possible! I did not write it; it has been mistakenly attributed to me & added to my reviews. We first visited this location, located alongside I-90 close to Bozeman, MT,... More

A wonderful place that is doing important work. Visitors are able to see the bears up very close which allows for great photos and the chance to learn about these beautiful animals. MGE has five bears which cannot live in the wild - at least two were rescued from an appalling captivity situation. The staff very clearly cares quite deeply... More

I bought a Groupon for Montana Grizzly encounter for my wife and I for our trip out west. During our car ride from Glacier National Park to Billings, MT, we stopped here to see the bears. Unfortunately, we arrived about 4:00 PM and were told they were closing in 15-minutes, where the posted hours were to 7:00. We explained our... More

This was a great way to see bears up close, yet safely. The host was very knowledgeable and well versed on the bears. Worth the time to stop in.

This family run bear rescue provides reasonable care for mistreated captives and orphan bears. Note that you won't see all 5 bears in a one hour visit.. But the $7 admission fee enables 48 hrs of access to return if you like. The family really knows their bears and the information and stories are really entertaining. Just don't ask about... More

Let me start off by saying that some people may not like this place if they never take time to find out its purpose. This encounter is home to five grizzlies that had no place else to go where they would survive. Faced with that, I would much rather see them here than the alternative. MGE not only provides a...
