Good place for a short hike,to watch fireworks,or to get a view of the city and mountains. Summer 2019 there is some construction at the base but it doesn't interfere with the trails.

I work a few blocks from this trailhead and it's a joy to be able to take scenic walk high over downtown. Makes you feel like you're miles away from the bustle, and there is a clean restroom at the end of the trail.
