Pleasant little water hole on a hot day

Great little place to swim, float or walk your dog or let him run in the fenced dog area. It is especially nice if you don't have time to travel to more popular spots.

Great for a quick loop hike around the lake in the mornings or evenings. Path well maintained. Beautiful views. Others were swimming, paddle boarding, wind surfing, and picnicking. Fun family spot.

This summer our family decided kayaking would be a good thing to try out, and we went to Lake Elmo. It is very close in, just big enough to allow us to learn if we like the sport or not, and there were picnic tables there for us to use at lunch time. It was a pleasant experience.

This is an old lake and the park and picnic are have been updated to bring them to today's standards. I was here last sixty years ago so this new park was something to see. Progress has made what was once beautiful pristine land into yet another place for people and their pets to congregate. All in the name of... More

Lake Elmo is nice but what you don't want to miss is the office there for Fish Wildlife and Parks. They have lots of animal mounts, maps and history. Great education and information source.

I cant believe they actually call this a state park. Its very small and you cant take a motorized boat on it. I assumed with Billings BIG population that this would be great.....Dont bother its more like a big pond with ike 2 tables to eat at. Disappointed here!

Lake Elmo is a very small lake with a lot to offer. Fishing, swimming, picnicking, dog park, jogging trail, and a lot of other non-motorized activities. The lake had a bad rap for many years but it has been cleaned up and is a great family place to spend a sunny afternoon. I swim in Lake Elmo and appreciate the... More
