There is a nice trail that follows the river but the views are limited. I took one of the 2(?) loop trails and then there was another trail in the other direction. I couldn't find much detail about the area before I went. There was a visitor center but there was some sort of kids activity going on so I... More

We visited Riverfront Park in July 2016 during our visit to Billings. We went for a 30 minute walk around the lake and near the river, but were a bit disappointed that most of the walk was in woods or brush away from the river. Worth a short stop but not that great.

Now that Billings has grown into a large City the City fathers are finally seeing the wisdom of preserving its wild spaces as park land.Riverfront park is a splendid little example of a place to enjoy some peace and tranquility in nature on the Yellowstone. A good pace to walk or just relax or photo some birds.

Went for a hike here with my family on a trip to Billings. There are several miles of gravel paths in the park for walking, running, or cycling. Nice views of the Yellowstone River. Bring insect repellent.

Stopped by this park for a quick hike before dinner, around 4-5pm. Well maintained facilities and trails. Major downside was the mosquitos. They literally were swarming us, we had to run back to the car. Others were there fishing and jogging. We'd return, just at a different time of day to avoid the mosquitos! =)

We didn't know just where Riverfront Park was until our Segway tour took us there. It was amazing. What a great place for families and to get some natural beauty in the midst of a busy city
