Bigfork was a delight until attempting to visit Kehoe's agate shop. Our reception at 5 minutes to closing was chilly; as we were asked to stand outside while the 'high value' jewelry was put away. The shopkeepers comments left my family feeling frustrated and mildly insulted by the insinuation that we weren't to be trusted around the shop's offering. After... More

When I saw the sign for Kehoe's - 2.3 miles off my route - I decided to take the time to visit and I am so glad that I did. They have an incredible selection of minerals, fossils and jewelry. The staff matches the inventory - simply excellent customer service. Yes, I dropped quite a few bucks at Kehoe's and... More

I was so taken with the selection of gems and stones I had a hard time deciding what to buy, I bought earrings, rings and necklaces and left many lovely pieces behind. Fortunately I love 2000 miles away, or I'd be spending too much money there. They have very expensive, but beautiful, gemstones and also lots of reasonably priced items... More

This is a lovely, small and highly popular place to get high end jewelry, agates and other fossils. Not at all what I expected but we loved it so much we returned 3 times in our 9 day stay in the area! Staff is attentive and knowledgeable, its only 20 minutes away from Kalispell and if you're a birder there... More

This little shop has lots of cool things to look at and buy. Stones of all kinds in mounts and a large variety of fossils.

Keno's is a shop that sells rocks. You could say the whole place rocks because everything is gorgeous. Sometimes you can pick out your stones for earrings or a bracelet, other times you can choose an already crafted necklace. Depends on what you are looking for. They have been in business for eons and their quality shows it. If you... More

This shop is sort of out of the way. It also has been there since the 50s and possibly earlier. Kehoe's Agate shop is an institution in the flathead valley and jewelry from this place is part of the inheritance of many people. Just outside of the shop on the shore is the wreck of the steam boat Helena which... More

This is a must for all you gem lovers out there! The staff is so helpful! If you don't find what you like, make sure to ask. I did and they started bringing out boxes and boxes of extra jewelry in the stones I was looking for. You will not be disappointed. Can't wait for another trip up to Big... More

A slice of heaven in a tiny historical box! This family run business has three rooms. One for the ladies to enjoy all the sparkly jewelry. One for the "rock hound" or kid in the family, and last room contains the exquisite gifts from mother nature when making rocks that are fastened into amazing pieces of art for the home.... More

I live here and still drop by this quaint cabin in the woods near Bigfork several times a year. Good place for top notch Montana souvineers or gifts in all price ranges. The owner and staff are very nice and knowledgeable. Lots of Montana specialties, like superb moss agate, but also top specimens and jewels from around the world. Just... More
