I stop at Eva Gates every time I'm in the area just to stock up. I personally don't eat preserves, but I always have some on hand for gift giving. They make wonderful Christmas presents. Even though I don't eat the preserves myself, the cherry is my favorite, followed by huckleberry. The recipients of my presents love the apple. They... More

The lady that helped us was so nice, she kept offering us samples. Great idea! We had to buy some of their huckleberry and chocolate fudge, it was sooo good. Great selection of gifts, and prices were pretty reasonable.

Showthyme is fine dining with amazing service. The food is consistently good, especially if you are looking for a special night out. Many friends say this is their favorite restaurant in Montana. I wouldn't go that far, but it is a fine place to eat a lovely and excellent dinner. Their specialty is toothfish, which is outstanding. Highly recommended.

If you're downtown Bigfork Eva Gates is a must see. So charming and friendly. The best Huckleberry Preserves and syrup. I like to buy the baking mixes also. Great gifts to send at Christmas.

A real lovely store with all sorts of homemade foods. The gift baskets are a great way to thank hosts or to celebrate.

Being in the Flathead Lake area for 5 days you find yourself craving Flathead Lake cherries and Swan Lake huckleberries. My wife was looking all over for cherry jam to take home. We found everything we couldn't find anywhere else a Eva Gates Preserves.

The preserves that are produced in the Eva Gates kitchen have been sent to almost every state in the country over the past fifty years or so. They have consistently been a favorite of ours. The huckleberry flavor is particularly good on ice cream, but is also tasty on toast. These jams and jellies have proven to be great Christmas... More

We first went to Eva Gates 20 years ago, and it has not changed. We have traveled all over the U.S., and these are the best preserves we have ever had. It's fun to walk around Bigfork, but it wouldn't be worth the trip with this shop.

Very cute shop lots of great Montana charm. Tons of huckleberry inspired spreads and gifts. The person working there when we went was Eva's granddaughter - only in Montana!

I have been going to Eva Gates since the 60's--though they have updated the building. It is a stop we make whenever in the area--the blackcap jam and syrup is fantastic! They do need to update their website that says they are open 7 days a week tho!
