Busy but fun trail we did in the snow. Once you get to the lake, keep going and head up to the Spanish peaks. We made it to the top but the final push was challenging with the snow. But well worth to be able...More

Fantastic hike and well worth it. Take your time or take it fast. Either works! But do it. You'll be so proud and thrilled you saw the lake at the top. Don't forget water and a few snacks. And bear spray!

A beautiful 7 mile RT hike that many people of all ages can do. The pond at the end is rather small but still beautiful mixed in with the mountains and trees. It took us about 3 hours going at a good pace.

So much of a must do, I did it twice in 3 days! I absolutely love this hike, and it ranks as one of my favorites ever. It is a workout, but you get several breaks on some straightaways through meadows between climbs. It is...More

We hiked this as a family of 10. 4 adults and 6 children (ages 7-14). A must-do to see some beautiful scenery! The last part of the hike is tough and uphill, but don’t quit early! The beautiful lake at the end of the trail...More

Family of five ages 6,15,20,45,51 we are all in good shape. Hike was easy with a couple of moderate but short stretches that were challenging for our 6 year old. We were on the trail early with light rain and it was perfect. The hike...More

Best for these reasons- 1) the climb up is as nice as the climb down (not usually true, like the Lava Lake trail, hated the descent on the rocky, wooded path with no view down the mountain), 2) 6.6 miles a great distance for a...More

Started 10am Wednesday July 17th(approx 7400ft alt). Parked on the road, lot full. Moderate trail and expect angles and traverse sides of the Mountain. Path is easy for hiking for most of the time. If not accustomed to Altitude, lungs & heart will feel it....More

Some snow on the highest peaks, not at the top where the lake is. No bears —high human and canine traffic this time of year. Wildflowers were beautiful

It's open year round. If it's snowed by then you won't get as far back in there unless you take good boots. We hiked it back in mid June this year and there was still mushy snow by the lake so we couldn't get back there with... More
