We stayed in this area 3 yrs ago and did not know about this hike. Glad I found it this time. Not an easy hike. Not exactly a hard hike. But helps if you are in shape. Really beautiful and worth it. You descend down pretty far, so you need to get back up. It’s a nice path and not a lot of steps.

My 25 minute hike to the falls was worth my effort. The clearly marked path and the many benches along the way helped tremendously! I would not call this a “fairly easy hike” but I am an “old baby boomer” so the ups and down were not easy. The falls and scenery is beautiful.

The falls are about a mile from the parking lot. Trail is fairly easy and not very rocky. We were in and out in about an hour and even saw some mule deer on our way out. Very nice all around.

It is a fairly easy hike through the beautiful woods near Big Sky. The weather was perfect on a late August afternoon. The falls are just magnificent. The trail follows the gentle stream from the falls for much of the way and there are plenty of places to stop and enjoy the serenity of God's creation. Just one bit of advice. From the map by the parking lot, head to the right. Left leads back to town. That too is a beautiful trail just the same. (Yes, we did that.)

We timed it perfectly between rain storms. Groomed trails. Lots of places to stop and appreciate nature. Several levels of falls to view.
