Big Sky Adventures was an awesome group to work with from start to finish! Not only did they guide us through the booking the best adventure for our group size and age range, the actual day spent in Yellowstone was incredible! Denise and Jackie were fantastic and their love for the outdoors and the area was evident. Denise shared her knowledge of Yellowstone's native animals, the geology and history of the park over the course of our day all while keeping our group of 9 people engaged for the entire time. It was light and fun but we also all walked away with new knowledge and a better appreciation of Yellowstone National Park. We throughly explored Mammouth Springs, snow shoed to a petrified red wood tree and saw countless animals native to Yellowstone.
The customer service was top notch beginning with the communication before the trip, picking us up at our home, adapting the day according to time spent exploring some things further, feeding us a delicious picnic lunch and finally being flexible to the needs of 5 kids ages 8 to 13 in our group. I could not recommend a tour company more highly! We really enjoyed our time spent with Big Sky Adventures.

This was one of the most amazing tour experiences we’ve had! Chrissy, Chuck, and Andrea were so awesome! They were knowledgeable, caring, fun, and even went out of their way to track down my daughters lost cell phone. Andrea went all the way back to yellow stone to pick it up and bring it back to us in Big Sky! She would not except at tip and asked us to pay it forward so this is part of that… “ Please choose Big Sky adventure tours for your next unforgettable experience!”

Our group of 5 ladies traveled with Big Sky Adventures and Tours in August 2021, and it was the highlight of our trip! Our wonderful guide Jada, picked us up promptly from our condo in a lovely Mercedes van and provided a day-long tour that greatly exceeded all of our expectations. Jada is an informed, enthusiastic and just all-around-lovely person and her stories and knowledge brought to life the vast world of Yellowstone Park. As we were celebrating birthdays, she provided an amazing gourmet picnic lunch by a beautiful river that included a surprise birthday cake. I can honestly say that we were all blown away.
While you can always drive through the park itself, the value of having a driver/tour guide (especially like Jada) made such a difference in our experience. To learn about the wildlife, the park history, and the many stories of park tourists really brought the park to life and made for such a fun day that none of us will ever forget.
I highly recommend Big Sky Adventures and Tours for their quality tour, tour guides, refreshments and all around quality service.

Just cannot describe one part of our trip. This was a family trip after 20 months of not seeing the kids and grandkids due to COVID, hence made it even more enjoyable. Chris was our guide on the first day to the Lamar valley and he gave us a wonderful geological description of Yellowstone. Saw plenty of bison and a a few geysers. The next day we had Jackie as our guide to the Geysers and boy did she enlighten all of us about them. The grandkids were very impressed about the geysers and what the volcano Can and will do if it were to erupt! Of course Old Faithful put on her show which is always fabulous to watch! She amazes me every time. On the third day we rafted down the Yellowstone river and our son and granddaughter went fly fishing which they had never done before. MY granddaughter caught 5 fish, the largest was about 6+ lbs.! Of course this trip was catch and release. The food they supplied was absolutely delicious! Will definitely use Big Sky Adventures and Tours if we make it back to Yellowstone.

This entire excursion was wonderful. Our guide, Patty was one of the better guides/hostesses that we have ever had - and we have taken excursions all over the world. There were 5 of us plus our 2 year old grandson. She was extremely patient and made stops whenever needed. Patty has a great personality and is extremely knowledgeable about Yellowstone and all of Montana, having lived here for many years. She personalised this trip just for our family and took extra time with us. I cannot say enough about how wonderful this excursion was. I wholeheartedly recommend Big Sky Adventures!

We went snowshoeing at nighttime on the Specimen Creek Trail with the amazing Chuck. It was the experience of a lifetime! I will be telling my grandkids about this. Yellowstone at night is so quiet, and yet traces of life are everywhere: tracks of squirrels and mice and river otters criss-cross the landscape. We started hiking in the snow but, halfway through our walk, the clouds briefly opened up and regaled us with incredible views of the night sky. On the way back, we stopped for a few minutes in a clearing, just enjoying the silence and the sense of being in an incredible place. Chuck was such a wonderful guide: he educated us on the flora and fauna of Yellowstone, told stories, and always made us feel comfortable and safe. The cookies and hot beverages on the way back were an extra treat. And, once Chuck heard that we'd have to take the Karst shuttle to get back up the mountain, he even insisted on driving us home. Highly, highly recommended!

Denise was able to take us last minute due to the closing of the Lamar Valley. She was amazing, we learned so much about the eco system of the park. We followed a bear through the woods in the van and that was thrilling, We saw many bison and animals in our tour. The walks to the waterfalls and the amazing nature of Yellowstone were more than we ever imagined and left with an appreciation and awe for the natural beauty of Yellowstone. Highly recommend them and get started early...the earlier the better for both seeing the park and staying out of the heat.

WOW! All I can say is wow wow wow! Chris picked us up promptly at 7 am from our VRBO for a 10 hour tour. She was a great narrator on our way to West Yellowstone to meet up with our private SnoCat. We were fortunate enough to see the bachelor Elk herd early am.
Upon arrival in West Yellowstone, BSAT partnered with Yellowstone Vacation Tours to be the in SnoCat in park driver. Justin (from YVT) was a fantastic guide as well. Our custom private tour took us to Kepler Cascade (don't miss it), Old Faithful (of course) lunch, and snowshoeing on trails, Morning Glory Pool and everything else in between. We kicked off our adventure into the park with champagne and bison viewing.
Yellowstone private (if you can afford it) winter tour is not to be missed! Less crowds and the beauty covered in (ALOT) of snow is breathtaking.

My group of 5 (2adults, 3 teenagers) did the Yellowstone Wildlife Tour to Mammoth Springs. Denise was our guide, and she was amazing! She was incredibly knowledgeable about the history of the area as well as landforms and wildlife. She was accommodating and helpful at all times. I did not expect much from a packed lunch, but it was absolutely delicious (even had a wonderful Keto option), and the tomato soup hit the spot! Dan’s cookies were included, and my kids (teenagers= always hungry) recognized those cookies from them being sold around the Big Sky Resort, so they were loving that. It turns out that Dan is Denise’s husband, so I imagine that is a regular lunch treat on these excursions.
Yellowstone and its history and beauty speaks for itself, but if you want incredibly kind and knowledgeable guides, I recommend Big Sky Adventures & Tours. From payment at the beginning with Andrea to drop-off from our tour with Denise, everything was seamless and wonderful! We plan to be back!

The tour guide, Carol was very nice, however, we were all “shocked” by the Lucy that was prepared for a $1,250. Tour or any tour for that matter.
We were served hummus from a used left over Sabra package, potato salad and macaroni salad in Tupperware container that were clearly also left over from another tour, and sandwiches that she made herself that were not even wrapped.
It was pretty shocking to the four of us. The only good note is that it was a topic of conversation for a few days.
We have been on many private tours, and engaged in other activities on this trip including rafting down the Snake River. NEVER did we have lunch prepared as someone’s left overs.

I’d suggest you contact Dave at East Slope Anglers in Village Cenrter in Big Sky. They do ski sales and rentals and been around a long time. Denise Wade could also provide a name.
