Bay of Fires Winery is the home for two award winning Tasmanian wine brands; the world class sparkling 'House of ARRAS' and the popular award winning 'Bay of Fires'.House of Arras winemaker Ed Carr has been crafting sparkling wine for over 30 years and leads Australia's most awarded sparkling winemaking team. Most recently Ed's 2004 House of Arras Blanc de Blancs was rated the best sparkling wine in the 2014 James Halliday Australian Wine Companion. Leading the Bay of Fires winemaking team is winemaker Peter Dredge. In early 2013 history was made at the Sydney Wine Show with Bay of Fires taking home three trophies for the 2011 Pinot Noir; best Pinot Noir, best Red Wine and Wine of Show. At the Bay of Fires Winery cellar door, located just 35 minutes north-east of Launceston, you can sample wines from both Arras and Bay of Fires, whilst enjoying one of our tasting platters, in the idyllic setting of bush and rolling hills of Piper River. We look forward to seeing you soon.

With a great selection of table wines and sparkling (Aras) you will be able to stay a while and enjoy the views. The staff are very knowledgeable and very engaging and happy to recommend other cellar doors to visit.

We visited on a lovely sunny day and were met with exquisite customer service. While food and wines are both a little expensive, the location is beautiful and the experience of it all divine.
