Visited this place while on an Adventures by Disney Danube cruise. It was the highlight of our many stops!
The employees were very friendly and warm, smiling faces, and felt very welcoming from the moment we arrived. The pogacsa (Hungarian biscuits) offered upon arrival were AMAZING!
I realize the meal we were offered might be different if one is not on a group tour, but the meal we had was the best of the whole trip, the presentation was appetizing, and the servers were willing to help with anything else one might need.
The young lady serving coffee also made the best espresso poured over whipped cream I have had in a long time (the way it should be made!).
My only disappointment was with the horse show. While it was nice to see, I felt it did not showcase all that the Hungarians are famous for in their horsemanship skills. Perhaps it was a scaled down show for our tour group, but I felt it was very short and not enough emphasis on the skills on horseback that Hungarians became famous for as they road across the plains. I would have preferred a longer show, though what was shown was nice to watch.
I did not go to the petting zoo or the museum, but did do the carriage ride. Again, it was too short, but a pleasant ride through the terrain.
Overall, I highly recommend this outing. I hope to go back someday!

My husband and I went to this equestrian park while touring with Viking. The show the horsemen did was excellent. Their horsemanship was just brilliant and the horses beautiful. The spices on sale were well priced and very fresh.
I would thoroughly recommend this show to anyone visiting Hungry.

Business
We was here for a business party. The staff was kind and helpful. The wines are tasty, no great no terrible. The food is awesome, from the scone to the desserts. The Somlói galuska is one of a kind, must try! If you can visit this place, the hospitality and the feeling absolute worth it.
Pro: it is far from Budapest and Gödöllő, you need a car to reach this destination.

The park is a beautiful setting. Everything was well groomed. The horses were clearly the star.
We enjoyed the horse show, the museum and the stables. The museum was very well done.
However SKIP the petting zoo on the property. It was a very hot day the day we visited and we were shocked to see pouli dogs kept in such a small unshaded space. The dogs were clearly stressed, panting and their heavy fur looked matted in places. I wish I had taken a picture but I left very quickly. The curly haired pig was also kept in such a small space that the animal could just lay in one spot.
It was really surprising that people who work with animals would have such a sub-standard area on their property.

The visit to this "Puzsta"-ranch as it was marketed (which it is not - the puzsta lies at least 200 km further east) turned out to be a parody of a disneyland style horse show and a far cry from what you can watch North American cowboys and Argentinian gauchos do at similar places on the other side of the Atlantic. To start with they had sold about 50% more tickets than seats for the show. The performance must have been meant for children and the stunts if they could be called that were rather unimpressive. Poor value for money and the time could have been spent on some of the many better things that Hungary can muster.

We did this excursion as part of our river cruise. We had 2 kids, ages 14 and 10, our mother, 82. We loved going into the countryside of Hungary. It was beautiful. The horse center was well run, clean, and full of entertainment. We did a horse ride around the loop on a carriage, watched a show, and ate some lunch afterwards. The show was entertaining. The horses were beautiful and well kept too. Top notch on the facility. Stables clean, horses pampered. The restaurant served traditional food. It was quite good. Overall, we really enjoyed our time on this excursion.

Went here as an excursion from a river cruise. Billed as a horse show, it really isn't. Dressage, said the announcer, and a poorly executed half pass was the response. It's a cross between a rodeo and a small town circus act. I would have liked to have heard a lot more about their fabulous driving accomplishments, and learned much more about their Lippizzaners, but no such luck. It's popular with large tour groups wanting a very large lunch and a chance to buy the excellent goulash spices.

This was a beautiful farm and we certainly enjoyed seeing all of the farm animals. The horse show was very disappointing. The first event they showed was a trick rider shooting arrows, but he missed every shot. You did get to see some trick riding, but I think the owners were more amazed than we were. We have had the opportunity to see some amazing horse shows in the US at the Dixie Stampede in Branson, MO. I kept thinking that these guys needed to visit that show to see what real trick riding was all about. They then expect you to tip the riders. So if you are going for the horse show--skip it. If you want to see a beautiful Hungarian countryside, meet some very nice people then you will have a nice afternoon.

We visited the park as a precruise event. The location is beautifully manicured, the horses are treated like royalty, the lunch was over the top delicious...and the horse show is not to be missed. This side trip is well worth the money..

We spent a really pleasant day visiting the Lazar Equestrian Park as part of a small guided tour. Fresh air, green grass, and the beauty of the Hungarian countryside can all be appreciated here. We were greeted with a glass of sparkling wine and some rolls, and visited a small farm with a number of animals native to Hungary. A lovely ride in a horse drawn cart through the forest and along the trails of the property followed.
An enjoyable and entertaining show featured many horses and riders doing various tricks and acts, along with other animals such as oxen. We particularly loved the white donkey who was so sweet and patient -- and who proved, in the end, that he could do his own trick after all!
For a venture out of Budapest to spend some time in the countryside, this is a beautiful and picturesque place to be, and the animals appear well-loved and well-cared for, which all animal lovers can appreciate!

Hi! I'm gonna visit Budapest from 6th to 14th November and I'd like to visit your estate. Do you have any events organised in those days?
Is this show feasible with 1.5 and 3.5 years old kids?

Is it open in January, do we need reservations

Went to their website which states reservations are required, but had nothing about times of operation. I would contact your hotel and ask if they can arrange it or use the tour information listed below. It is an outside experience and might be rather cold and snowy in January. Great fun though.

Salve vorrei sapere se allo spettacolo equestre possono venire i cani. Purtroppo siamo in macchina non abbiamo modo di lasciarla in albergo.

Dear Walter,
Now, we already have an optional reservation for the park for this day, so you shall wait a little bit to confirm this date.
If you would like to come on the 22nd, I can make you a reservation right now.
The welcome, park visit, carriage ride and the show with a 3 course lunch (drink included) costs 32 Euro/person.
Shall I make you a reservation for the 22nd?
Thank you,
Gábor Mélykuti
We will be staying in an apartment in Budapest at beginning of November. Can you tell me if you will have any horse shows at that time of the year or any other activities for a family of 4 to join in? Also, I wonder how we can arrive at your site if we are not on a Viking Cruise trip? Please tell me if there is any transportation available to where you are located. Thank you, Heidi

Dear Heidi,
We'll have a horseshow on the 4th November at 12:00 o'clock. We have many other optional reservations, but the date is pretty far away, so I think we're going to have much more groups. If you're coming individually, then you can join a bigger group.
