Larger museum than it looked from the outside with more artifacts, documents, etc about Warrensburg history.

Special events accentuate the regular activities of the museum and historical courthouse. A fall concert series on Friday and Saturday nights is amazing. Intimate venue in the old courthouse without electrification, limited seating and excellent music.

This group is always out to educate and help people in the community. Their helpful and fun nature make the entire experience very nice. It's always great to have a good group in your community to collect the history of the town and area and we definitely have that here. Thanks to you all!

I was visiting my daughter who goes to Central Missouri University and had a day to roam around Warrensburg. I decided to check out the historic old downtown area and found the Johnson County Historic Complex, four buildings that are run by the Historical Society which include the original county courthouse, a library/small museum, a building with farm artifacts, and a one room school which was moved to this site. Being off-season, I was the only person on the tour and the lady who took me around shared a lot of interesting information as we walked through the buildings. I was interested to hear that teachers can bring their classes to the one room school for programs; what an experience that would be for children studying the history of Missouri. I had a thoroughly enjoyable hour+! P.S. The Café Blackadder was as wonderful as I remembered it; ate there twice that week!
