We stopped in cause I had wanted too. We did the wine tasting(unfortunately I do not like to pay to taste) so we only tried 3. I myself was not impressed with the bartender I guess she was having an OFF day we asked for water then she kinda put us off. Then we said we would like to taste. When we sat & decided to have lunch while the storm passed the wait staff was more informative & enjoyed talking to us about the winery.

Nice surprise with this winery. They do charge for tastings, but it's reasonable. The estate is actually quite beautiful and not expected for this region. This would be a great stop before heading to the Lake. The grounds were secluded and beautiful.

Had great lunch - great halfway spot for a stop! Chicken kebab plate with grilled veggies and ribeye steak salad - the house balsamic was yummy. Drank a bottle of “3 oaks red” and one more to go. Lovely hostess.

Nice outdoor patio if hot because it’s shaded. Great girlfriend weekend tour stop! Wine tastings at the bar.

Give this place a try!
It’s a couple miles off hi-way on gravel road and worth seeking out! Treat yourself to a visit! They’ve worked hard on this place!

After seeing signs stopped by the Red Fox Winery on our way back from home after a quick getaway. We just wanted to do a wine tasting, a young waiter told us we would have to wait because the lady behind the wine tasting bar was busy with another couple. There was only that couple at the bar, so we decided to wait awhile.
Well twenty minutes later we are still waiting.
We gave it another five minutes before we got up from the table and left.
Just waisted our time and they lost our business. We won't be back.
The lady behind the wine bar can't help more than two people at once? How do you expect to have a good relationship with your customers that keep your business going if you treat them like they don't matter.
I fully attended to pay for two wine tastings and if I liked the wine I would have bought a case or two.
Sadly for them they lost a sale, I will take my money elsewhere.

I'd give 0 stars if I could. Service was horrible!!Walked in. No one there. Asked for a tasting at 2pm on Sunday (not busy looking) and told would be "shortly." When followed up with "how long"? Told 45 minutes!!! Table beside us also complaining at same time "been waiting an hour for a bottle of wine" and couple that they "would like to pay NOW". Should've walked out then...

NEVER not left a tip, but did not here as EVERYONE (except the chef, because the food was honestly decent), was just bad. Have been to over 20 Missouri wineries this last year and half. It was a complete Sh*t show here. You'd think they just opened.

We had Spanakopita , which was delicious, for our appetizer. We had Blackberry wine, which was delicious (if you like sweet wine you can't go wrong with Blackberry wine). My boyfriend had the gyro and I had the chicken on a skewer. We also had baklava for dessert. Our waitress was very friendly and I would highly recommend that if you are in the area you try this winery/restaurant!

Red Fox Winery has expanded their dining facility into what was their event venue. Beautiful evening spent doing a wine tasting and enjoying a wonderful dinner, sharing a bottle of Chambourcin. It paired nicely with the rib eye I had, as well as the Moussaka my wife enjoyed. Wonderful menu with a variety of appetizers; we enjoyed the Hummus and Pita Bread. They offered a meat and cheese tray, but that would have been too much before dinner...we'll be back on a Saturday afternoon to try that! Surprisingly it wasn't busy Friday evening, but it made sitting out on the patio after dinner that much more relaxing. This is a family owned and run business that won't dissappoint.

We had seen the signs for the Red Fox Winery in Urich, Mo, for quite a while and finally set a date with friends to go there and make a day of it. We were really looking forward to this new venture. We were greeting in the driveway by a woman who came out to our car and very rudely informed us that we had used the wrong drive and that was why her dogs were jumping on (and scratching) our friends sports car. She said we read the sign wrong - said we can't read and suggested that we needed eyes checked! The rude comments continued from there.
I just cannot imagine a business owner behaving like that. It is certainly not the way to run a business. I know they lost a lot of business from the four of us. We will never be back and will definitely inform our friends of the behavior we encountered today.
Maybe their business will do better if they keep this woman from connecting with the public.

Three girlfriends and I made the mistake of including the Red Fox Winery as part of a Girls Day Out. The woman in charge of conducting our tasting was THE MOST HATEFUL AND RUDE person I have ever encountered in my life. One would think a quaint winery with an intimate tasting room would be an acceptable venue for making conversation with the people serving you wine-WRONG!! If you enjoy being treated like absolute crap-Red Fox Winery is the place for you. I ,however, will never return.

We arrived last Saturday (Oct 29) evening in a group of 8 for a birthday get together. Our intentions were for a wine tasting, drinking, and dinner. The grounds were well kept, very cool vineyard, and restaurant had an awesome architecture and rustic appeal. When the hostess met our group, she asked if we had reservations, we told her no as we looked around, there may have been 6 customers there total. She implied that we were going to be an inconvenience to her, but we were welcome to stay. We sat down, ordered a round of drinks. Saw an order of food come out of the kitchen, looked really good and tasty. The more the group sat there and visited over our first round of drinks, about how the hostess initially treated us, we decided to take our business elsewhere. We paid for our drinks and left. The place looks like it could of been a great stop. We have no plans on returning. Plenty of other restaurants that are not rude to its customers.
