They clocked up
Jun 2021 • Friends
This place is dreadful! Would you expect the clues in the rook to be accurate? If so don’t come here. Clock clue at wrong time. Was mocked for being mask exempt. Staff member ridiculed at end- implying socially special often complete quicker. Was told cameras are recorded, when asked if for personal use no answer given??? Overall 0/10, would not recommend. Going back next week so will update if other rooms better.

Great Escape Room Experience
Dec 2019
Our group of 8, ranging in age from mid-50s to late teens, had a great time with the Ovalish Office. The challenges provided a nice mix of opportunities to work both together and individually - there was plenty to do to keep us busy for nearly the entire hour, but not so much that we couldn't get it solved in time! And it is in a cool space, as an added bonus.

Great fun, enhanced by escape room coordinator
Oct 2019 • Friends
My hubby and I brought 3 escape room virgins (2 Moms and a Dad, all over 68) to grab the inheritance! The room master had a perfect balance of sharing some hints to get them started and allowing us to solve the puzzle. They were nervous about having fun, but quickly adapted to the different puzzle aspects and kept moving. It was very fun, and opened them all up to a new adventure. As soon as we got home, they called my sis-in-law, to say they wanted to take her to one! Lol

Great time, we’ll done (balanced in difficulty) puzzles, made very enjoyable the personable room master. We recommend it!

Excellent Escape Rooms!
Oct 2019
Extremely enjoyable! The puzzles were clever and everyone in our group was able to tackle different parts. In addition, the decor / design of the venue is very creative. What a fun space! The owner is super nice and welcoming. So far we have done two escape rooms here, and we will go back when there are more! Definitely recommend this place!

So much fun!
Oct 2019
This was our first escape room and I’ll be honest, I had my doubts....how was this going to be fun? There were 4 of us (we did a private room) and had no idea what we were doing. “Uncle” explained the rules and started the clock. We got so excited every time we found a clue! There is a tv screen where comments would come up if we hit a complete roadblock. I think he gave us a few extra hints bc we were new, like telling my nephew to show the rest of us what he had just found (he had forgotten to show us). We worked together, laughed, and had a great time! We all wanted to do it again right then!
Next time I visit St. Louis I will definitely go do the other room. We did The Inheritance this time and would love to do the Oval Office.
We all agreed that this was the most fun we had all had in a long time. There were two late twenty somethings and two fifty somethings and we all had a blast!

Best escape room we've tried
Sep 2019
Our family has done escape rooms in Wisconsin Dells, D.C., and others in St. Louis and this one (the Oval-ish Office) was the best we've experienced. The room is packed with puzzles and they cover a wide range. The puzzles are very well thought out - definitely challenging, but with enough clues to be solvable with the right Aha moment. We highly recommend Red Herring and look forward to trying more rooms there.

Saved the world in under an hour while having fun. Experienced players rate this as best in class.

Our group of 10 ranged in age from 21 to 70. Arrival to the second story location was easy with available street parking. Small elevator available to the second floor.

Reception area is rich with curios appropriate to the setting, Decor sets the mood for the available challenges, and gets the mindset headed in the right direction.

Our host oriented us to bathrooms, and then took us to the room. Ours was set in DC, and a timely challenge, it was. The host gave some very useful, entertaining and practical instructions. And then the door was closed.

A video monitor provides the challenge scenario, and the room draws you into the setting immediately. There is much to take in, and there was plenty for all ten of us to do. Details make this a fun challenge, and the complexity of the electrical, mechanical and kinetic locks and puzzles are complex enough to both lead and mislead if you try to move too quickly.

We enjoyed the video monitor updates, and the occasional commentary from the realtime hall monitor. Those who were new to the experience had a great time, and the group members who do a lot of these around the country were impressed, rating it best they've done, so far.

Host said 30 percent of the groups successfully escape, as we did, in the time allowed.

The area where this is located has much to do, interesting shops, restaurants, public parking. Recommend spending the afternoon before or after.

Favorite Escape Room!
Aug 2019 • Business
This is my favorite Escape Room in St. Louis! Brian and his staff are amazing and went out of their way to accommodate a large work event for us. It was above and beyond my expectations. Rooms were very clever and super fun to work through. Location in Delmar is an added plus as there are a ton of great restaurants within a few steps. Highly recommend!
