Very good tiny attraction
Jun 2020
It has the perfect location, within the Bass Pro Shop. Any gun lover will appreciate this attraction. There are a lot of guns, historical relevant guns, and celebrity owned guns. Many children will learn and enjoy many of the displays.

Great place to look and learn!
Sep 2020
I am not a gun enthusiast by any means but thoroughly enjoyed looking at all of the old guns. Lots of history behind each and everyone. Great place to learn history and spend time. Located inside Bass Pro in Springfield. A very worthwhile trip!

Second time there

Beautiful stuff. The groupings help figure out the history. Of course we're always looking for our favorite old gun and this place rarely disappoints. Staff was helpful but there's only one. A walking guide might be helpful.

Nice to visit, not very ADA friendly

We stopped to visit while staying overnight in Springfield. We needed an elevator for our stroller as the museum and the archery museum are both on the second floor and the associate pointed to an elevator that went to the archery section. Well, this one took us to the archery exhibit, but there was a long staircase connecting it to the NRA museum. We carried the stroller down the steps into the NRA museum. Someone in a wheelchair would have to go back out to the elevator, go back down to the main floor, then cross to the elevator at the NRA museum (it’s Hiding behind the steps, so apparently not all associates in that area know it exists)...and then go up there. It has some really cool historical guns and we really enjoyed looking around once inside...just getting there was tricky!

This is a "don't miss" at Bass Pro Shop. There is some fascinating history on display. We had about 45 minutes, but could have spent much longer.

Nice visit

We happened on it by accident. It is nicely arranged with beautiful displays. My wife is NOT into guns however she enjoyed the museum just as much as I did. The only thing that would have been better is a gift shop. I know that is hokey however I would like to have gotten something for our sons, both serving in the military and avid 2nd Amendment supporters.

For anyone with any interest in firearms this is a must see! The displays are so terrific and very well organized! Be sure and give yourself plenty of time to completely see everything! The free admission is also very nice!

Rare gun collection in Bass Pro Shop
Sep 2019
This collection of guns is inside the Bass Pro Shop and is free. They have a huge collection of guns and some really rare ones. The museum is well lit and marked. There is a guide in the museum that will answer any questions you may have.
