Rutledge-Wilson Farm Community Park is a 207 acre farm/park that provides several recreational resources for the community. The park is a farm-themed site that has a visitor center, gift shop, milking barn, prairie and pasture land, one-mile walking trail, small pond and playground. The park is free, but there are special events or activities that require fees. There are several community events at this park to include things like an egg hunt, a zombie run, urban gardens, and camps (for kids and adults). There are also ways to rent park amenities like bonfire pits, classroom space, bounce house or arrange an animal meet and greet (horse, sheep, goat, or rabbit). If you are in the Springfield area and have the need to spend some time on the farm, this is the place for you!

Most superb flavors compared to any fine dining restaurant I have enjoyed in New York, Las Vegas, Dallar or San Francisco. Must make reservation.

Hello Larry,
I'm sorry but we're not a restaurant. We're a Farm Park. We have a similar name to "Farmers Park" did you mean to review that restaurant instead?

I took my grandkids there a 2yr old and 6 month old. They loved it. Different animals to see. I only gave it a 3 rating due to the slides and playground is only dedicated to children 5 yrs and older. So any child younger you will have to help them on the slides due to they can't climb that far up. I feel they need to get a separate area out playground for kids under 5. However, overall great place to take the kids.

Lots of large slides in a big play area. Great picnic area. Farm animals you can get up close to. And during the fall, thousands of large pumpkins and a corn maze! Our grandkids love running and playing here.

We attended this farm in October for the Harvest Fest fall festival.
There were lots of activities for the kids (and adults as well!), including: Hayrides, haunted trail, corn maze, grain train, cow train, pony/horse rides, crafts, inflatables, playground, pumpkin patch, lots of animals, good food, and a few carnival style games.
Ticket pricing was reasonable, for better value, choose the wristband for unlimited tickets to all activities, excluding pony/horse rides, haunted trail and pumpkins (which were purchased by weight).
Admission is free, and so is parking (and there's plenty of it).
We also found this farm hosts other family events throughout the year.
Overall this is a very nice place, we will definitely return for the Harvest Fest again next year.

It's not every day that you get to go to a farm and walk around. They have farm animals around the grounds, with plenty of events for kids throughout the year. There is a little fishing pond where you can let the kids catch fish, and it's not too expensive. The only downside is that there are a lot of ticks during the tick season. I don't think that they treat the grounds for pesky bugs, as we always experience plenty of pests. Other than that, it's a fun little place to stop and check out!

It was a nice chilly day but we were all dressed for it. Just grateful that it wasn’t raining like yesterday. This outing had been planned a month ago and all the seniors from our church were looking forward to it. We arrived at the farm, not knowing what to expect. Surprisingly, it was a very big place so a hayride sounded good because I am sure that none of us could walk the whole farm. Blocks of hay were arranged on a tractor and we all sat on the hay. Then we rode round the farm. It costs $1.50 each and the ride wasn’t too Long, but it was sufficient. After the ride we walked around and enjoyed the animals and birds that were in the barns and outside. It, being a Friday, there were not many people around. Kids were still in school. Beside the hayride, there was the Corn Maze, the Cow and Grain trains, slides, games and crafts. One could pick their own pumpkins and pay for them at the gift shop. The gourds cost $1 each. To participate in the activities, one has to buy tickets and use them as payment. The Haunted Trail costs 5 tickets. It is only on Friday and Saturday nights, from 6.30pm -10pm. (October only).

They have a park where kids can play. There is also a place to fish. It has a free petting zoo and agricultural exhibits.
