I had a few hours to see the sights in Springfield, so headed out to the Botanical Gardens in mid-March. Not the peak season, but there is always something to see. Spring bulbs were up, some fruit trees were in bloom, but not much else had woken up from the "long winter nap". A great place to walk, look forward... More

Back when the Pokemon Go thing was hitting it big I took the Son and Daughter to walk around. It was a great place to just walk around and take in nature. The Butterfly garden was kind of cool as well. I will be back this coming summer.

I went here to take some photos for a seniors graduation and the background were awesome. They really take care of the park and keep it clean. Find a sunny day or carry a flash it will be worth the time.

On the day we visited this park a vast majority of people were walking around staring mindlessly at their phones trying to find Pokémon. My daughter had to use the restroom but because there was a private event in the building she was not permitted to go in and out quickly. They need an additional restroom on the property. We... We're so sorry to hear about this! The Botanical Center restrooms are open to the public during regular hours. However, this sounds like this might have been on New Years Eve. We closed the building at noon that day but had a private rental at 1 p.m. It may have appeared to be open but it was not open to... More

Great botanic garden. They have a massive Hosta display and many other plant species. They have a monarch butterfly releasing even in the summer which is pretty awesome!

We have been here once before, in summer, and it's a different place in late fall. We walked clear to the Japanese gardens and homestead, both which were closed. Still, it's a good place to come if you like fall foliage and playgrounds.

I took a Church group to Springfield on a day trip. This is an excellent botanical gardens. For a group, you can reserve a narrated tram for $50. The tram runs free on weekends.

Maybe not for the people inclined to parkour, but for a varied area of green and interesting exhibits. I might even have my wedding here.
