Dickerson Park Zoo is where people and animals connect. Enjoy getting outside and enjoying the natural beauty of the area while seeing and learning about animals from Africa, Tropical Asia, South America, Australia and North America. See the reptiles at the Ambler Diversity of Life center, ride the Titus Express miniature train, get up close and personal with the giraffes on the giraffe deck (giraffe feeding an additional fee but observation deck is free) and visit the petting zoo. Cafe and gift shop also available.

I love zoos. Been to many different ones and Springfield has one to be proud of. They are always looking to improve and they have a great variety of animals to view. The giraffe exhibit is truly exceptional.

Good way to spend a summer morning. Went early to beat the heat, critters more active before it gets hot. Thought most exhibits were nicely done, not a large zoo but good for this size city. Have decent refreshment areas with shade and fans. If...More

Had a great time at the zoo. We were able to feed the barn animals and giraffes. Animals are spread out. Only took about 2 hours to do the whole zoo. The train is at the very end but we didn’t go on it.

Very nice zoo with lots of animals. Our grandson had a blast viewing the birds and other animals. And he really enjoyed the train ride. Highly recommended

The free-roaming peacocks are a big hit with our guests, but true they do leave behind a lot of poo. It's also often impossible to get to our offices in the morning without navigating a maze left by these beautiful birds. While our maintenance staff...More
